This Week-end 16-17 October

🔥Friday, from the gremlin groves of Los Angeles comes a creature so grimey that hell itself spat him back up. This mystical beast, who is more moose than man, will be turning 35 and celebrating with friends @lascene.sgn, this Friday the 16th.

Weekend Line-up @lascene.sgn

🔥Friday 9th: No stranger to Vietnam's dancefloors, @robattt 's a long-time fixture of the circuit — back at La Scène this Friday.

Originally from Lille, he was struck by electronic music at 11, when a Miss Kittin record turned his world upside down. A member of the WAM collective, he moves between genres with ease, each set a journey through hypnotic pulses, raw energy and playful twists.

🔥Saturday 10th: Saigon Dub Club hits La Scène for a night of bass, reggae, roots and dub, with a tropical edge running through the mix.

Joining us from Mexico, @yolotzin.dub brings her deep selection and sound system energy: heavyweight rhythms, deep bass, authentic dub culture. Support comes from @lightoftunnel and Datodeo, rounding out a lineup of local and international selectors united by one love — sound system culture. 🌴

OCTOBER @lascene.sgn 🔥

A-list line-up to kick off the season.

Back this month, some of our favourite acts: Yoko (vinyl listening session), Robat, Melunn (live set), Liam, Soju (live and DJ set), Tommy, Slowbirds (vinyl listening session), DJay P, Dan Lo, Tina & K-One (Soul Tropics night).

First time at La Scène: Mooseman, celebrating his birthday with us on Friday 16th, then a special treat with Taofu and AVR from Hanoi, taking over both floors on the 31st.

And this Saturday 10th, Yolotzin from Mexico for a unique dub selection, brought to you by Mr. Hau.

BIG ANDY @lascene.sgn — Saturday 3 October, 9PM

Big Andy cut his teeth in the early 2000s on gigs across the UK, until a hobby turned into something he couldn't put down. Crate-digging and late nights behind the decks became a real musical education — one that still shapes everything he plays today

His sound is rooted in funk, soul and hip hop, grown into a broad, groove-led take on house where rhythm, energy and timing always beat genre labels.

Since becoming a fixture on the Saigon circuit, Andy's set up base in Mui Ne, where he runs the monthly Breaking Habits night and plays regularly around town. He's also Creator and Director of Waveline Festival, bringing real rhythm and low-end swing to the local scene through programming across funk, soul, hip hop, disco and house 🔥

Launching a new signature series for the nights we go all in. Every now and then, we bring together a one-off lineup of our absolute favorite DJs — 5 artists this time, handpicked for quality — spread across our two floors, each room running its own full programming.

First edition: Saturday 26 September 🔥

Ground Floor — upbeat, playful & groovy. Leading the charge: @modernlife.isrubbish aka Marco of Modern Life Is Rubbish, one half of the Swedish duo whose 2024 double LP "Pulpo Fiction" landed on the legendary Studio Barnhus — Marco also runs his own label, Taf Kif Records.

He's joined by @justgoicuon, the mind behind this first edition, and Adrien, stepping up B2B with him for a set built to move the room.

Listening Room — deeper, still groovy. Upstairs, Captain Karl (Roman) takes the reins with a promise: an all-Japanese selection — jazz, grooves, slow disco & everything in between — while @tossld, boss and founder of Liminal Dreams, peppers the night with his signature ambient touch. As always, the @lascene.listeningroom goes deep.

🍷 Come early for dinner and wine at the bistro, then stay all night — DJs from 8PM till late. This isn't a warm-up, it's the main event. by @toni_datodeo

🌴 TROPIKAL — ALL NIGHT 🌴
Friday 18 — we’re going tropical.

Not just one corner of the tropics, but the whole spectrum — Caribbeans, Brazil, Colombia, Africa and beyond.

Expect a night built for dancing:
From Zouk to Bossa, Reggae, Biguine, Afro-Funk, Calypso or Salsa and everything in between.

Disco flavours, tropical rhythms, warm grooves and lots of vinyl action — though we’re not religious about it.

On the decks:

COH-HUL — back after his Baile Funk night in July, bringing another dose of rhythm and heat.

Light of Tunnel aka Mr Hau — a regular behind the decks at La Scène and always a solid selector.

Dinner, drinks, music & dancing — all under one roof.

Friday 11 September, we’re very happy and excited to welcome an old friend and real OG, MyHERO, flying in from Da Nang.

A key member of Singapore’s Mugic Sound System and Disco de Laurentiis collectives, MyHERO has been playing clubs, lounges and parties across the US and Asia for more than 20 years.

His genre-bending, era-spanning sets move freely through underground, outsider and non-commercial music, always selected for the moment. Never boxed into one sound, he’s equally at home behind the decks of a big club or playing to a small, intimate gathering.

Still part of the Mugic family of DJs and party promoters that grew out of Singapore, he continues to dig, select and connect the dots across decades and genres.

Glad he can finally make it to La Scène!

✨ RARE GROOVES. GLOBAL FLAVOURS. ONE NIGHT.

This Friday, 4th September, we’re bringing together three visiting DJs for a night of musical discoveries, from Vietnam and Cuba to Latin America and beyond.

TUM BAO aka Gabi - Bassist of Saigon Soul Revival, Gabi joins us with a selection drawing on Cuban, Latin and afro funky influences. We’ll also be weaving in a few fresh cuts from the band’s latest album. 🔥

Jan Hagenkoetter - will be dropping from fresh Vietnamese edits from his label, digging into lesser-heard gems and reimagining them for the dance floor.

TSINELAS - Back at La Scene with another round of Latin rarities on 45s — dusty grooves, tropical rhythms and plenty of gems you won’t hear every night.

Expect warm rhythms, unexpected turns and seriously danceable selections, celebrating the vintage sounds of our global village — music that travelled across borders, decades and cultures, and still gets people moving today.

Friday 10th July | 9PM – 12AM | La Scene

Coh-hul (DJ Porra) makes his debut at La Scene, bringing a selection of original underground white label Funk Carioca vinyl from 1985–2005, hand-carried back from Rio de Janeiro.

This set explores the roots of Brazilian funk—the raw sound that shaped an entire culture long before it reached the mainstream. Expect rare pressings, authentic funk rhythms and familiar samples played exactly as they were meant to be heard: on vinyl.

This will be the first time these records have been played on La Scene's incredible sound system, making it a rare chance to experience a side of Brazil that few people outside the country have ever heard.

If you're curious about the origins of Funk Carioca or just want to hear something completely different, come through.

First visit this month from @okaydante_ tonight, @cohhul next week for an exciting Baile Funk night on Vinyl, @scott_son_145 b2b with @justgoicuon on the 18/7, and @spicy_b_jp and @ja_to_viet together with @keiichimiyata for a big Reggae night on the 17!

Saturday next week @slowbirds brings his Kutsu 窟 dub series to the listening room, alongside @sljung_music and @toni_datodeo.

Last but not least, our dear friends @thundertillman, @_yokosun @justinstarchild and @1dan.oi all have their own night this month!
