I put the Lightwish watercolor set to the test in a beautiful autumn garden, painting flowers and enjoying the fall colors.

The paper is absolutely perfect! I’m not even exaggerating when I say I want to use it for my regular artwork, too. The watercolors are lovely, and the brushes are comfortable to hold and great quality.

While I’m working on some exciting new projects, I don’t want to disappear from Instagram, so here’s a little video of me painting one of my all-time favorite pieces from the past. 🐱

Today I want to share a little joy with you. I’m always so happy when fabric samples featuring my prints arrive! 🤍

If you didn’t know, you can order fabrics and home textiles with my designs on @spoonflower Whenever I add new designs, I always order samples to see how they look in real life. And I still get as excited as a kid when I find a Spoonflower envelope in my mailbox! 😄

I check the colors, print quality, and scale, and sometimes make a few adjustments to the designs after seeing the samples.

You can find the link to my shop in my Linktree, or you can always send me a DM. ✨ taken in Seattle, Washington by @tonia_tkach

Which pattern from this little collection is your favorite? Let me know in the comments! 🍁🎨🏡
These are the seamless patterns I created from the watercolor illustrations I showed you in my last real. Think of these as the «hero» patterns - the main stars of the collection. But there’s more coming! I’m planning some simpler, more basic patterns too, including a classic plaid, to go alongside these.

Also... I’m still not 100% sure about the colors on a couple of these. Too warm? Not warm enough? I’d really love to hear what you think!

Here’s a little trick if you want to make your artwork feel more interesting and unique: try working with a limited color palette🔴🟠🟤🔵

For this collection, I used only red, ochre, brown, and a touch of cobalt blue. All those beautiful greens? They came from mixing the colors rather than adding green itself.
I love how much variety you can create with just a few colors. Sometimes, limiting your palette actually gives you more creative freedom. And I made this one for #ForThoseWhoLoveToPaint from @jacksons_art

Look how beautifully it came together! taken in Seattle, Washington by @tonia_tkach

The leaves are already turning yellow, the rainy days have begun, and my three little cat friends have headed into the woods to look for mushrooms.
The most important thing is not to mix them up and bring home the right ones🍄
But what else should they get up to this September?
Bake pumpkin pies?
Pick apples?
Collect acorns?
Or start making their Halloween costumes?
What would you add to their autumn to-do list? 🍂 taken in Seattle, Washington by @tonia_tkach
