33 definitely brought some hard life lessons and new insights on life. It also brought some very tough losses(both grandmothers and my husband), new fears, trauma and an unimaginable amount of strength I didn't even think I was capable of.

I've built new bonds and strengthened old ones. And with all these blessings from God I've found my tribe.

In year 33 I almost lost my life and through it all I'm just thankful to see 34. I'm just happy to even be here, and still have my physical health(we working on my mental)

Just out here getting rid of dead weight holding me (&my hair) back from my full potential.

Cut about 7-8 inchs off and go rid of any relaxer that was left in my hair. Feels good to be fully natural again.

Also letting go of those whose reason and season no longer serve me! by @toniarenee21

Transparency post

Sometimes I forget about my scars!

Today I got to work and looked in the mirror and had a mini panic attack. My scars are my biggest insecurity currently and it drives me crazy. I haven't been insecure about my physical appearance in a very long time. I worked very hard to sometimes love and appreciate my stomach ( haha) embrace my "elephant thighs" and my big arms. But these damn scars be fucking me up and it's so annoying. The thought of summer has me in a huge panic. Because with scars come questions and I don't think I'm ready to tell strangers about the scariest night of my life .🙄🙄 Such is life I guess. by @toniarenee21

You are capable of doing hard things.

Today I faced an insecurity and had some of my scars on display. My scars are a huge insecurity because they come with a story IDK if I'm ready or even know how to tell strangers about and by putting them on display it opens the door to questions. Also they are just ugly lol but they are apart of me now so in trying to embrace them.

I also stepped out of my comfort zone by going to a side of town that just 3 months ago I never ever thought I would go back to because the mere thought of going there brought on crippling fear and uncontrollable panic.

What I have to keep telling myself is that I can not allow the actions of someone else to dictate the rest of my life. I can not and will not live the rest of my life in fear. It will take time to move the way I want to, but I have already moved leaps and bounds from where I was in September. by @toniarenee21

Ms. Ma'am it took me too many years for me to learn that "I am not my hair." You telling me you prefer my natural hair when you've never seen it is not a compliment. You prefer my hair straight, but that's not its natural state. Thank you but No Thank you!!!! by @toniarenee21
