Finally sharing my story on here 🌟🩷

Truth is — my creative glow-up wasn’t overnight.
It was intentional.

Over the last 5 years, the biggest shifts weren’t just in my art…
they were in my environment, mindset, and how I defined myself as a creative.

✨ Finding a community that truly saw me
✨ Letting go of people & habits that held me back
✨ Releasing the pressure to fit into one creative box

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve seen glimpses of the chaos, the dedication, and the behind-the-scenes moments that shaped my art. Now, I’m finally letting you goofs peek behind the curtain — in hopes it inspires a few of you too.

Because it is possible, even if it’s not perfect.
And honestly… that’s what being a goof is all about 🫶🏼

Creating isn’t hard — Believing you can is. 🙂‍↕️💭📝

Most artists today don’t struggle with talent.
They struggle with doubt.

Your mindset has the power to either:
• expand your skill
• or shrink your potential

Truth is Art is emotional. 🩷

And if your mindset is shaky,
your creativity feels shaky too.

You don’t need permission.
You don’t need to be “ready.”
You need repetition + belief.

What’s been your biggest mindset block as an artist?
Let’s talk about it in the comments. 💬

✍🏽 THIS WEEK’S DRAWING CHALLENGE: FEELING AMBIDEXTROUS?

What happens when you stop relying on your “good hand”? 👀

This week, grab your sketchbook and try drawing the same subject with both hands. Don’t overthink it. Don’t worry about making it perfect. Just make some quick sketches and pay attention to how differently each hand interprets what you see.

The goal isn't to create your best drawing.
The goal is to get comfortable being uncomfortable
.
So grab a pen, use your non-dominant hand, and START ANYWAY. 🖊️

Want to try this Challenge with me?

Don't forget to post and tag me @tonith3g00f and use hashtag #ToniStartsAnyway

Inspired me to take some visuals 🫶🏼💕

Lately, life has been moving fast. Between work, responsibilities, and everything in between, it's easy to forget that creating isn't another task on the to-do list... it's the thing that helps us come back to ourselves.

Being an artist has taught me that inspiration isn't always found at a desk or digging yourself further into your work.

Sometimes it's in the sunlight peeking through the trees, flowers blooming on an ordinary walk, or the quiet moments we almost rush past.

So if you've been feeling stuck or creatively drained, this is your reminder to step outside. Slow down. Take a step back. Look around. Touch some grass. Smell the roses. Let the world refill your creative cup before you ask yourself to pour anything onto a canvas or sketchbook 🌸🎨

What's something you've seen recently that made you want to create? I'd love to hear about it. 💕

2/25🎨 WIP Wednesday... a little late✨ - oops✨

One thing about me... I'm always going to be real, this painting is definitely still in progress ✍🏼

Missed Wednesday, but here's Canvas #2 of my 25 Canvas Challenge. I love choosing unique references with tricky poses, it helps me push myself that much more.

Which do you notice first though—the colors or the pose? 👀

Next update will probably be Monday 🗓️📍

One thing about me... I can get real lost in a Pinterest doomscroll looking for the "perfect" reference. 😅
Not today though.

Canvas 2/25 is officially in progress, and I got straight to it. No endless scrolling. No overthinking. Just picking up the paint and creating.

This is your reminder that you don't have to be perfect to make something you're proud of...
You just have to start and sometimes you have to let yourself fail. That's what practice is all about! 🩷

If you're new here, welcome to the chaos. 🤍 Grab a seat, Follow and Stay Tuned while I build this little collection—one canvas at a time. 🫶🏼🎨

1/25 🎨 | Starting Something New!!!

I've got a lighter course load this term, and instead of letting that extra time slip away, I decided to invest it in something I've been wanting to commit to for a while: myself and my art. 🩷✍🏼

Welcome to my 25 Canvas Challenge!
Over the next few weeks, I'll be creating 25 small canvases before the quarter ends. My goal is to experiment, learn, and document the journey—without the pressure of making every piece perfect. Just showing up, creating, and growing one canvas at a time.

This first piece, Canvas 1: The Fire Inside, is about reigniting my passion for creating. More than building consistency, this challenge is about falling back in love with the creative process instead of stressing over the outcome.

Here's to creating with joy, embracing the journey, and seeing where Canvas 25 takes me. ✨
