You’ve heard it from Darlene Love, U2, and Death Cab for Cutie. And now you’re hearing it from Tonks. I’ve always wanted to put out a Christmas song, so this feels like a milestone. The guys in Tonks @tmilorey @antimonitor & @robert_brown_ did a great job at throwing this together in two rehearsal’s. New song out today! (I forgot today was the day). I recorded this song in my bedroom 4 years ago living in Westmont. I was really happy with how it sounded and wasn’t sure if I wanted to re-record it. So all these years later I went to @erikscattmusic , asked him to take out the midi drums and he tracked the drums you now hear. We re-recorded the bass, and added some lead guitar. Erik did and awesome job mixing it, and as always this was mastered by @dave_downham . Artwork by @joeyxginaldi . Lots more music coming soon! taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @tonksphl

Another new single is out today! Big thank you to @connorpriest for mixing/producing. @dave_downham for mastering. @the_gradwell_house as always. Thank you to @yanna_loves_you_bb for contributing her vocals and writing all her parts for it. Thanks to @jennifuhhh for the chill inducing cello parts. Thank you to the band for helping to write this song @tmilorey @thecosmictomb @robert_brown_ and @tommywyllner . And lastly thanks to @joeyxginaldi for the artwork.

This one has some darker parts than the usual Tonks stuff. I’d been listening to a lot of The Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead’s The Bends. I’ve said from the start that Tonks will be a forever changing project, so I don’t think this is a reflection of music to come but this one was a lot of fun to make, and it’s a very fun song to play.
