Found these two pics of myself in my analog files I dont remember who took them but thought i post them as I thought both really show how rough the year has been . where is my smile ? so here are some thoughts. If I look back at this year right now and review it it makes me shiver. Surgeries, complications, tireness, over worked, feeling like I failed the people I love . Not being able to shot as much as I wanted, in the later months literaly fighting for my life, heartbroken and with no to little work. Far away from home and stuck somewhere else for longer than I planned, not putting up the tree at home with monkey jungle as we have done for the past 4 years makes me sad as well . But these are all negatives. The positives are so much more . One, that I am with Mom and that after years of not spending Christmas with mom and Sobblings I will . I am away from home which I miss but it has been a blessing in disguise as i needed distance from situations in Bali specially around the holidays. I am responding to treatment and eventhought i will have extra procedures done. I am putting my health and mental health and focusing on that as my first goal . These times have remind me what is important, so I have decided to do a major shift when I go back home and dedicate myself to the things I love more, to my surfing ,that has given me for many years happiness i and that brought me to stay in my beautiful Island . To the travels I have always loved to do but havent done because of work, to my photography that gives me my surf fix everyday , to the magazine, to my paintings that i feel passionate about and makes me express my love for the ocean , to my alter ego lil cat stories and to all my people that I love even more I did before. I cannot thank you guys enough for all the support and love you have sent throught calls, messages, reels, chats and even letters. Its overwhelming to receive messages from all over the world but its also humbling to know how much I mean to a lot of people. So thank you everyone for the love and thank you for reminding me who I am and what I love. Miss you all so much, I cannot explain it. @pererenansurfingclub @surftime_magazine by @tono_vargas
