There are some places you visit... and then there are places that quietly change you.For me, San Diego became one of those places.I arrived expecting beaches, sunsets, and good weather. But I left with something I never expected—a deeper sense of gratitude, community, and faith.One of the greatest blessings was meeting Devin, Peter, Levi, and Eli. They organize monthly community flow events where strangers come together to share music, movement, kindness, laughter, and connection. In a world that often feels rushed and divided, they reminded me that community is still alive. That people still choose to show up for one another, simply because they care.I stayed at the ITH Beach Hostel in Pacific Beach, and honestly, that place felt like so much more than a hostel. It felt like home.One evening, everyone gathered to make steaks. Obviously, I couldn't eat them, but that wasn't the point. What stayed with me wasn't the food—it was the love behind it. It was people cooking together, laughing together, making sure no one felt alone.And then there were the people.Stephanie. Lana Ojitos. David Sir. Nature Baddie. Victoria. Emma. Nicole. Pablo. Mischele... and so many others whose kindness made every day feel lighter.Sometimes we think the biggest miracles are extraordinary moments. But I think miracles often look like someone remembering your name, inviting you into a conversation, sharing a meal, or making space for you to simply be yourself.The breathwork circles and the yoga classes led by Lucia opened another door. They weren't just practices—they were experiences. Moments where I slowed down, breathed deeply, and remembered something we often forget: peace isn't something we chase; sometimes it's something we allow ourselves to receive.Looking back, I don't think San Diego just gave me memories.It gave me perspective.It reminded me that gratitude isn't about having everything. It's about recognizing the beauty that's already around you.And somewhere between the ocean, the conversations, the music, the movement, the shared meals, the breathwork, and the incredible people I met... it felt like I found God. by @tonubecareful
