The Kinetic Rush Challenge from last summer: Parkour at the Barbican. I took the opportunity to do a project with Houdini/Unreal and learn some new skills :) 1. Final Video 2. Regular Updates 3. Unreal BTS 4. Marvelous Designer by @tonyle.uk
The third TOTO tool for Houdini, 'easyWind' Houdini performs wind simulations in various ways. Perhaps the best approach is a DOP/Pyro simulation, though these are often quite complex. easyWind is designed as a faster alternative (though still computationally intensive) for analysing the wind flow around geometry using potential flow. Free to download in my bio - Create some hairy, flowy things :) Note: This tool computes how air flows around obstacles by solving for the nearest divergence-free velocity field. While it does not generate turbulence, it effectively allows particle streams to anticipate and avoid collisions – VDB Potential Flow. #TOTO #design #generative #generativeart #generativedesign #creativecoding #simulation #computation #digitaldesign #digitalartist #DigitalArt #design #digitaldesign #houdini #houdinifx #digitalarchitecture #parametric #procedural #abstractart #3d #3DDesign #motiongraphics #motiongraphicscollective #3danimation #digitalanimation #CGI #VDB by @tonyle.uk
The second TOTO tool for Houdini, 'easyRain' easyRain is used to analyse the rainwater runoff of a geometry. This tool can also simulate surface tension as rainwater flows around the geometry under gravity and wind. The outputs are raintrails, with the speed/velocity attribute, and animated rain particles. Not solver/DOP based so quicker & easier to use~ Check it out in my bio, I have one more to release this summer and a few more in the pipeline... #TOTO #design #generative #generativeart #generativedesign #creativecoding #simulation #computation #digitaldesign #digitalartist #DigitalArt #design #digitaldesign #houdini #houdinifx #digitalarchitecture #parametric #procedural #abstractart #3d #3DDesign #motiongraphics #motiongraphicscollective #3danimation #digitalanimation #CGI by @tonyle.uk
Introducing TOTO: A new set of Houdini tools [HDAs] starting with "EasySun"! 🌞 EasySun analyses sun exposure on geometry in a single sun path, making certain workflows faster, especially if you're working with heavy meshes in Houdini. Download now on my website/bio and test it out! More tools will be coming soon... Note: EasySun offers a conceptual simulation of daily solar exposure. For detailed simulations, tools like Ladybug or CFD are recommended. EasySun is perfect for proof of concepts and early design development! #TOTO #design #generative #generativeart #generativedesign #creativecoding #simulation #computation #digitaldesign #digitalartist #DigitalArt #design #digitaldesign #houdini #houdinifx #digitalarchitecture #parametric #procedural #abstractart #3d #3DDesign #motiongraphics #motiongraphicscollective #3danimation #digitalanimation #CGI by @tonyle.uk
