Throwback to NYC sunsets. Editing this photo made me realize that @leicacamerausa is really not messing around. The raw files of the Q2 are nothing short of incredible. Zooming in to 100% is just awe inspiring. Also, this is a single exposure, not a panorama. Yes, it’s a $6000 point and shoot and that feels so wrong. But when you realize its capability might even surpass your entire DSLR bag, it’s worth it. taken in New York City by @tonymophoto

Finally getting around to the Leica Q2 images from an incredible 4 days in Long Beach for the @gplongbeach as a VIP guest of @michelinmotorsport and @michelinusa

I’ve been fortunate to have been to most of the circuits on the IMSA schedule, but never Long Beach. So let’s dive right in. I can’t say enough about the Michelin crew. Madeline, Florence, Meagan, Desmond, Ricardo, Jenson, Didier, and the self proclaimed (and so true) tire nerd Wayne were all top notch individuals with true passion for the brand. I can’t thank them enough for the hospitality.

As you scroll through these you’ll see images from me that you’re used to seeing by now. But what you won’t see is the things that I just wanted to be present for without photos. The private karting rental (sorry @reaper_fg2 😂), the private tour of the Vault at @petersenmusem , the product immersion from Wayne, the fantastic lunches and the absolutely delicious dinners. Even some time to hang out with some folks after dinner and explore the city… @altarsocietybrewingco we (me) love you.

Ever wondered what it’s like to be a 2 time Rolex24 overall winner, a Sebring12 winner, a 24h of Spa winner, experience 3 podium finishes at Le Mans and have 3 Indy 500 starts? Follow Didier Theys around for a race week and around the paddock of an IMSA race. You’ll get the closest humanly possible to being that as you’re welcomed inside with him every pit he goes into with open arms from drivers to team owners. Everyone (I mean everyone) knows and adores him, it’s awe inspiring and a sight to behold. Michelin, I don’t know how you could provide a more genuine motorsports centered experience than that. Thank you Didier.

Last but not least, thank you to the @morganautogroup @yourlocalntw and of course and Eric Rozehnal for giving me the opportunity to attend this once in a lifetime experience. ✌️ taken in Long Beach, California by @tonymophoto

Off the ship, let’s wrap these photos up. Sunday we drove to Cocoa Beach a day before boarding @carnival Glory the next morning, with a pit stop at @kennedyspacecenter.

It was hot as absolute hell, but thankfully NASA believes in science and aggressive air conditioning. A giant leap for mankind.

There is a LOT to see. The VAB and Saturn V are ridiculously huge. We thought admission was pricey and left realizing we hadn’t even seen everything. If you like NASA, understand basic physics, or you’re a delusional moon landing denier looking for a field trip, it’s worth it.

Boarding at Port Canaveral was painless. Parking lot to ship was under an hour. @abbielockettcruisedirector brought the energy, sail away was electric, drinks were good, vibes were good.

Glory is older, but after MAS’ Islander, the layout felt familiar. Carnival also apparently entered my luggage in a demolition derby: two wheels broken off and the side cracked lol.

Smoothest water we’ve ever sailed. I barely felt the ship move all week. Ol’ Glory sailed like a champ.

On to Nassau. Carnival canceled our Edge beach @atlantisbahamas excursion the night before. Frustrating, but it ended up being one of the best things that happened. Alex at shore excursions pointed us toward @bluelagoonisland adults only cove.

Absolute highlight of the cruise. Jess and I could’ve stayed there for days. Crystal clear water, local food, unlimited Bahama Mamas, and enough separation to feel peaceful.

Celebration Key was another great day: massive lagoon, swing bar, fantastic staff, local beers, and we were the only ship in port.

My only complaint: SHADE lol. The umbrellas don’t move, so I alternated between sunscreen and the lagoon before turning into a rotisserie chicken. We both came back overheated as hell. Mistakes were made.

We wrapped up with dinner at Emerald steakhouse. Main dining room meals were good too. Shoutout Felix. Food was…dare I say it? Better than RC.

Broken luggage, closed venues at strange times, changed plans, too much sun…but none of it mattered. It’s not about the newest ship or fanciest amenities. With the right person beside you, you can have a great time just about anywhere. ❤️ by @tonymophoto

Finally back from an amazing week aboard @margaritavilleatsea Islander. Review time! We were celebrating Jess’ parents 50th wedding anniversary. We didn’t really know what to expect on this cruise line and we were pleasantly surprised! If you know me, you know I’ve had horrible experiences on other cruise lines but MAS’ laid back vibe, and effort to genuinely entertain you in every aspect was a breath of fresh air, err… like that first sip of an ice cold Margarita.

The live entertainment on this ship is fantastic, from Elton (our fave) on the steel pan, to a violinist playing old and new songs for everyone to enjoy. Orlando was great, his interactions with passengers were genuine. I saw a lady stop him in the Flip Flop atrium to ask if he was too busy for a selfie (cringe), but he just smiled and said “never too busy” and posed with her, the tone in his voice let her know he meant it. Respect.

We visited Key West, which I’ve been to many times but it never disappoints. Explored the Hemingway house, a couple famous haunts then it was off to Cozumel. Shore Excursion desk recommended @kuzapark to us and it sounded too good to be true. Only being open 2 weeks, it’s Cozumel’s newest beach club and it was perfection. You will be pampered here, you will drink, you will dine, you will fall in love. Just wish I had an extra hour or 24 to spend there.

Overall I’m glad our experience was great, and Jess’ parents enjoyed themselves and whenever the anniversary was mentioned…a small celebration broke out by the staff on MAS. My parents have also been together 50 years. If you’ve made it this far in this post then you might as well read this…

Find true love, the kind that grabs you and never lets go. Chase sunsets, laugh until it hurts, kiss like it’s the last night on Earth. Time doesn’t wait, and one day you’ll blink and wonder where it all went. Life is the only thing lived forwards but learned backwards. So love wildly, live loudly, and make memories so great they outlast you. ✌️ by @tonymophoto

Jess’ 40th birthday part 1. Hard to choose a few favorite photos but oh well. Went a little extra for this one to attempt to make her feel special, because she is. We beached, we pooled, we drank, we laughed. Memories were made and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Now…on to the birthday celebration part 2 this weekend and her actual birthday Monday! taken in Cancun,Mexico by @tonymophoto

Back from an unforgettable birthday weekend with @jesstagramin This year we slowed things down and did an Airbnb tour of sorts across Florida, finding new to us towns, unique stays, and surprises at literally every stop.

We went from a quaint tiny house on a busy but peaceful farm, to a treehouse built like an engineering masterpiece on 25 acres of art and wonder. Along the way, we fed and roamed with farm animals, grilled under the stars, watched sunsets, listened to rain on a yurt roof, soaked in a DC-10 engine cowling, and sat on porches where the only view was endless trees. It felt like getting back to the basics of it all with the person I’m lucky enough to do life with. Pretty powerful really.

Some Airbnbs give you more than a roof and a bed, they give you experiences, perspective, and lessons if you’re open to them. Dan taught me one I’ll never forget. Your legacy isn’t the sum of your work, it’s how you tie it all together and how you make people feel along the way. Kindness, presence, and a welcoming spirit don’t cost a thing, but they’ll outlast you every time. That is a legacy.

Danville isn’t just a destination, it’s an experience, one that unfortunately won’t last forever. But we’ll carry it in our memories forever like so many guests before us have. Thank you, Dan. by @tonymophoto

Late post: Biloxi, MS in black and white.
I knew I needed time with my parents, the kind of time that isn’t rushed or scheduled, so we went somewhere familiar to them and easy on the soul. Biloxi felt right. Salt in the air, neon glowing off casino signs, cold beers in dive bars, slow afternoons that turn into long dinners, and seafood pulled straight from the Gulf. A gulf that tried to kill this city a few years back, reminders are still there, and locals will never forget.

It’s a town that doesn’t ask much of you, just to show up, sit down, and stay awhile. A little bit of everything, exactly what we needed. We’ll be back. taken in Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi by @tonymophoto

Savannah in black and white. This is going to sound insane but hear me out. I firmly believe that Savannah is the NYC of the south. Although it is void of any skyscrapers, all the charm and more is present in the city of Savannah. Believe it or not, Savannahs grid layout predates New Yorks by nearly 40 years. You can’t help but draw similarities in your mind to Greenwich village as you walk Jones St. You can’t walk River st without being reminded of Stone or Front St. There are so many more similarities that outside of scale, are very interesting. Forsyth Park and Central Park, Ellis square and Bryant park to name a few more. If you’ve never been, give Savannah a visit and see for yourself. taken in Savannah, Georgia by @tonymophoto
