Apparently Anthony Bourdain hated Austrian food culture in the first place, but then changed his mind while filming an episode of No Reservations in Vienna.

He famously expected a boring, overly sanitized "sugar land" filled with nothing but touristy cakes, classical music clichés, and what he feared would be a "sound of music nightmare".

I am currently binge-watching "No Reservations" in preparation for the upcoming movie "TONY" and wanted to share this funny snippet with u <3. hope you enjoy his vibe as much as i do.

Semorad plays sets for people who were already on their way out, but somehow end up staying until 6 a.m. Somewhere between LCD Soundsystem, Crystal Castles and The xx, she moves through the space between indie sleaze and sweat-soaked bloghouse dancefloors. She, too, wishes she'd been a Millennial — her sound is like an all-nighter where people are crying and making out at the same time. Lots of bass, lots of drama, a little bit of Tumblr, and exactly the kind of tracks you'd completely forgotten about. Not a single American Apparel piece was ever sold on Vinted.

THIS IS NOT A REVIVAL PARTY.
Over the last couple of years, there has been a rise of amazing Austrian and international artists whose music feels like it could’ve been in the first season of Skins and had already lived a life during peak indie sleaze.

“i <3 too much indie sleaze” on 26.06. at Titanic Club connects the peak indie sleaze years between 2006 and 2012 with contemporary music that feels like it could’ve existed back then.

the party serves as a melting pot for everyone who misses blurry flash photos, messy nights and the feeling of finding each other on the dancefloor again.
