I remember in 2019 I was like “This is the team im going to be on, I’m going to be a Grambling State Cheerleader”, I remember literally jumping up and down in my mom’s room when Terry Lilly decided to give me a chance, with every season I’ve grown more & more into the woman I want to be .. this being my last Bayou Classic is honestly surreal but I’m not leaving unsatisfied, thank you guys for allowing me to be one of your captains & letting me lead you guys through this football season, thank you to Coach Lilly, Coach Marcus, my captains, my teammates, alumni, & supporters for always cheering me on! my blood, sweat, & tears will always be worth it for this team! so with that being said

“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

It’s been a long time coming, I’ve already written plenty of lengthy paragraphs about cheer so I won’t bore y’all with the details. Grambling Cheer is honestly apart of me, being apart of this team opened many doors for me and I have found myself in positions I’ve only dreamt of. From cheering at March Madness to traveling to New York and working for Varsity Spirit. What keeps pushing me is knowing that others view me as an inspiration and honestly, it’s an honor. I plan to continue to do so because I’m far from done. Forever thankful for my team (especially the rookies love y’all 🫶🏾).

Miami officially signing out! 🐯

“A rose must remain with both the sun and the rain.”

To ΣΑΙ & Eta Zeta, thank you for emphasizing arts that utilize music, music is a universal language that we all can understand and communicate effectively with. Thank you to the ones who really put on for HZ! Y’all do not get the credit y’all deserve and I’m here to give y’all y’all flowers. I cherish the genuine sisters I’ve gained within this chapter and organization, know that this is a lifetime affair. I appreciate y’all so much and know with time, this chapter will grow and further itself.

To my lovely Più Vita E Amore Eterno, y’all had me stepping out of my comfort zone and we did the damn thing! Y’all showed me something different and helped me realize a lot within myself. Our time together does not go unappreciated, love y’all.

To my Sweet Pea, Big Dog, & Lightning .. y’all molded me into a better woman, y’all are my extra hand, y’all are my backbone, y’all are my shoulder. I have so much I could say but it’s nothing I haven’t said before. We’re in this 5L, y’all never had a choice 🥹❤️🌹
