EVERY NIGHT IS A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT 🛸

New 7” out 20/03/26 and new song out NOW!

Super stoked to announce our new record out via Specialist Subject Records. It’s 3 new songs that are all a bit different from what we’ve been doing before. These are 3 tales of the uncanny: UFOs, vampires, nighttime business. We’re extremely proud of them - listen to the first title track now! (LINK IN BIO)

Should you choose to bundle up the record also has an exclusive 24 page zine with notes from me (Cally) on all the songs, how we wrote and recorded them, along with private links to the original demos, inspiration playlists and reading lists - and has behind the scenes info about the art!

You can get the record bundled with our 2023 LP or a zine and a new T shirt by Eloise McAllister.

Art by Emily Seffar, recorded at JT Soar by Phil Booth and Robin Newman and mastered by Ed Hall

JOYOUS!!! 💕🫣

Bristol, what a time. We were very nervous about playing some now quite old songs (they’re almost going to secondary school my dudes) but what an exceptionally lovely show that was - thanks for singing and dancing and making it special. Also I have a new fave band @dateline3.0 so that’s extra fun!

Thanks again to Iwan (@invisiblellamamusic). Alex from @honeypotpunx was dead right when they said that through some of those shows that Iwan put on ten years ago we sort of met… all our friends?? He’s done a lot for us and a lot for Bristol and the exchange and the scene and we love him.

🐾😇NEXT SHOW: we are playing our first @youthanthemsbristol show! It’s going to be awesome, it’s with @doggyhvn and @perkiemusic . It will be the last Toodles show of 2026 so come say hello, bring a child or bring a parent or come by yourself - don’t let me tell you what to do. Link in the bio for tix.

10 YEARS OF TOODLES / 10 YEARS OF CALL IN SICK / 10 YEARS OF INVISIBLE LLAMA RECORDS

Ok it’s a slight untruth because I think toodles is technically older than 10 years - but to me I put the real origin of the band as when we met our friend Iwan, recorded our first EP and did all that stuff back then in 2016. In summer 2027 that record will be ten years old but we’re gonna celebrate / commiserate that milestone a bit early

THIS SATURDAY we will be playing all 5 songs on that EP together for the last time before we officially retire AT LEAST “Faster than This”, “Ear to the Concrete” and “I Do Not Need a Doctor” - we haven’t played any of them in many many years now but let’s give the old tunes one mighty send off hey? I don’t feel like they are songs we even wrote anymore, they feel like something that happened to people who had our names but werent us. Time. Time. Time.

Iwan put this out as his first Invisible Llama Music release at profound financial loss to himself and we can only thank him by relearning these incredibly fast songs and giving them one last go

And you know what the say about autumn? It’s toodles SEASON. Crispy leaves, Halloween, ghosts and so forth. Im dusting off my turtleneck jumpers as we speak.
