Debuting Musubi by Wilén-Jong for Studio TOOJ — a Japanese joinery-inspired upholstery series in New York at @thesalonny with @wexlergallery

Wilén-Jong will be exhibiting alongside Danny Balgley, Malene Djenaba Barnett, Cimone Kind Berman, Richard Haining, Daniel Shapiro, Erin Sullivan, Jennifer Trask. Curated by Wexler Gallery, the presentation is a celebration of material exploration, exceptional craftsmanship, and the natural world, highlighting the increasingly fluid boundaries between fine art and contemporary design. by @tooj_sthlm

We’re truly honoured to be named Designer of the Year by @elledecorationse .

The past year has been intense. We have pushed ourselves towards more ambitious, narrative-driven work. There were moments of doubt, and times we felt completely overwhelmed.

This recognition really means a great deal to us. Thank you to the jury for seeing the work and for the encouragement. It helps us keep creating.

Turning the material dialogue upside down.

The Musubi Side Table reverses the relationship found in the seating pieces, pairing a richly figured wood veneer top with soft, upholstered supports.

An exploration of structure, softness and material contrast.

This year’s summer Creative Internship + Residency had come to an end. We had the pleasure to host Berlin-based content creator @oykucm as our first participant in the programme, which focuses on creative communications strategy and hands-on content creation experience. Paired with mentor, product marketing extraordinaire & filmmaker @alfietieu , we aimed to provide an opportunity for young creatives to gain insights into the industry and experiences. Öykü has been a fantastic addition to our small team. Because of her skills and effort, we’ve been able to share what goes on behind the scene with our latest project.

We are thinking about next summer’s programme already, theme TBD. Production? Design? PR? Give us some ideas!

Not all is as it seems in the DUK collection. Inspired by illusion.

Made entirely from 3D-printed quartz sand, held together by furan-based binder, Contourage blurs the lines between digital craft and sculpture; illusion and reality.

Surrealism. Craftsmanship. Material honesty. In the Driptolé sculptural side table (2023) fluidity and rigidity stand as one. Our most acquired piece to date. Made to order.
