Sold | For sale is a rare 1941 Longines 14k gold watch with 23m manual wind movement. The watch measures 30mm (excluding crown) and wears incredibly well on wrist. Overall condition is incredible considering the age and the watch is running well. The below text is directly from Longines after I wrote to them to inquire about the watch:

“Dear Mr. He…., We thank you for contacting us and for your interest in Longines watches. Further to your request, we are pleased to provide the information contained in our handwritten registers. Originally, the serial number 6’147’xxx identifies a Longines mechanical manually wound movement, caliber 23M. It was produced in 1941 and invoiced to the Longines-Wittnauer Company, INC., which was at that time our agent for the USA. The other parts of the watch were produced locally under license from Longines. Unfortunately, since the relevant archives are not in our possession, we are unable to provide any further information on your model. We trust that we have responded satisfactorily to your request and remain at your entire disposal for any additional information. Best regards, Nicolas Chauvy Branding and Heritage Compagnie des Montres Longines Francillon SA Phone +41 32 942 54 06”

The Watch comes shipped with a beautiful, unused Molequin charcoal suede strap with a gold buckle and ships as the watch only and no box or papers. Wrist shot is taken on my 7.35 inch wrist.

After an absolutely dismal year at @watchesandwonders for @tudorwatch I am happy to add my 1984 Tudor Submariner 94010 back into the rotation. I hope I eat my words, but it seems that Tudor’s best days are in the rearview mirror.
