There are some people you love, and then there’s that one person who feels like a piece of your soul. My sister was that person for me. We talked every single day. Not almost every day. Every single day. It didn’t matter if it was for five minutes or five hours we always found each other. She was the first person I wanted to tell when something good happened and the first person I needed when life fell apart.
We were inseparable. We shared laughs that no one else understood, inside jokes that will never make sense to anyone else and a bond that nothing in this world could break. Now I’m trying to learn how to live in a world where she’s no longer here and nothing prepares you for that kind of silence. I still reach for my phone to call her. I still catch myself thinking, “I can’t wait to tell my sister.” Then reality hits all over again. Losing a sister isn’t just losing family. It’s losing your best friend, your safe place, your biggest supporter, and someone who knew every version of you and loved you anyway…… now mine is gone 💔

People say time heals but sometimes it just dont … they become a part of who you are. I carry my sister with me in everything I do. In every memory, every laugh that reminds me of her, every tear I cry because I miss her.

If MY LOVE for her alone could have kept her here, she would have lived forever. I miss you Melanie Symone every single day and I always will. No matter how much time passes you’ll always be my sister, my heart, and a part of me that can never be replaced. I love you big sis !!
