POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hello Everyone,

My name is Simran Vyas and I am an incoming D1 at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. I am a nontraditional student and have seen it all on my journey till here. I created this account with hopes that my journey inspires you to never give up and always believe in yourself.

I am 25 years old. I graduated from the University of Florida in 2019 with my bachelors in science in Biology. I graduated with my masters in biomedical sciences in 2022 from Nova Southeastern University. I have applied twice - no interviews on my first try and 3 interviews/1 acceptance on my second try. It only takes one school to believe in you! Follow along as I share more about my journey.

I hope to bring transparency and awareness to the non traditional path students take to dentistry. Here’s to persistence and resilience.

Toothfully,

Give Kids A Smile 2026 ~ Tropical Smiles Paradise 🌸🌴

217 Patients. $54,067 worth of dental care at no cost.
It was honor to put together GKAS at NSU this year. We got to make a meaningful impact on the lives of many families in our community while encouraging better oral hygiene care, all while creating a positive and exciting environment around health and well-being. This event was truly about CDM coming together and saving smiles, one child at a time.

To every volunteer who came out on Saturday - YOU made this happen and we could not be more grateful for your dedication to serving our community!!

Ever since D1 year, GKAS has held a special place in my heart and I’m so grateful that I got to help continue the legacy this year with some of the greatest people.
Michelle, wouldn’t have wanted to co-run this event with anyone else. Thanks for trying to read my brain, you are the greatest friend and leader and I’m proud to have done this with you.
Peds Exec, the most fun and hard working group - thank you for dealing with our insanity and being such team players. You made this GKAS incredible & I miss Walkie-ing with you all.
To my family & friends who support me in all my endeavors, I am who I am because of you. Thank you for always supporting me and having my back. ily all.

Signing off till next year ❤️ by @toothfullysim

Happy National Dentist Day to all the incredible Dentists out there. A huge shout out to all the dentists that are mentoring us on this journey and teaching us the fundamentals of dentistry, patient care, and so much more. I’m so grateful for every dentist that has shaped the way for us dental students to follow in their footsteps. As I enter clinic in a few weeks, it feels surreal to know I’m halfway to being a dentist and can’t wait to finally be a student doctor 🦷 Ft. Stab lab, the most “dentist-like” feeling I’ve had in dental school 🥹

ASDA Annual Session 2025 ✨
This weekend ignited my ASDA fever to new levels. It’s so exciting networking with some of the greatest minds in dentistry while engaging in meaningful discussion about resolutions that can guide the future of dentistry. I’m honored to have served as a voting delegate representing NSU and look forward to seeing the implementation of all the new resolutions ASDA students worked so hard on. Feeling empowered and ready to spread the ASDA Fever 💙

ASDA District 5 Conference - Dive Into The Future of Dentistry ✋

Attending Dental Conferences has been a highlight of my Dental school journey, so planning the 2025 ASDA District 5 Conference has been the greatest honor. From endless Zoom calls to a million canva edits to nonstop conference orders and deliveries(my living room can attest to this), @marie_julien and I put our heart and soul into this conference and I couldn’t be more grateful for such a great partner in crime. It was such a fulfilling weekend seeing our vision come to life with incredible speakers, attendees and sponsors. An experience I’ll never forget ❤️

Shout out to @johnny_russ0 for trusting us with this opportunity and to our wonderful team for helping put this together. It would not have been possible without you all. @acgoff @ariamasoudifar @kielan.singh @basilydentistry @oliviacurcione @a.magee

& Shout out to my family for their unwavering support, it’s because of you all that I can accomplish the craziest of my dreams ❤️ taken in Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina by @toothfullysim
