It's been 2 years since @dexteroj and I put our heads together and recorded this song. It represents a big step into experimenting with pop music, I think, for both of us.

I am still very proud of what we did on this song. It taught me a lot about collaboration and how far you can go with a simple idea when you have a great producer like @default_modes to really helped us shine.

Also, I can barely believe how good we looked in these photos that @joshdesignedthis took! Makeup by @nataliecarrmusic too!

I'm so glad Dexter is my friend and collaborator and I can't wait til we can show you what's next. by @top_achiever

Listen up friends! I have a super cool show coming up this Saturday at Arts+ Community Campus (the old Presbyterian church at the intersection of Plaza n Plaza which is being transformed into an art and music hub!). I'm honored to be able to sing in this incredible setting. I'll be performing alongside Default Modes (Jesse of Foreign Air), and Sweat Transfer. We have the opportunity to break in the Om Park sanctuary stage - a space in the early steps of some big changes coming. Thank you @artsplus.clt and @electricmountainart for the opportunity. Swipe to see where we'll be performing!!

Thank you, all y'all, for making the EP release celebration so chill and pretty special. There's lots of other important stuff happening, so please excuse the incoming, lengthy self-indulgent post. This post is not just about an EP release. That's okay. The internet is endless and people are saying all kinds of mess, and I am an emotional person who is always overdoing it.

In what seems to be becoming typical Top Achiever show fashion, things fell apart and came together in a different way - maybe a bit weirder, a bit better. When the hard drive crashes on the eve of release, you breathe and you build a new super computer and play whatever song files you've got left. Man vs. Machine. When you mess up the first note of a song you know by heart, you laugh with your friends and restart the track - grounded in community. Thank you @dexteroj @bravopuebloclt @_axnt - y'all toned the vibe of the night exactly right and altered the atmosphere for a couple hours. Thanks also @zzzzaappp and everyone @snugharbornc too!

After some distribution delays due to robots in 2024, Fugue State Zen Garden has finally hit streaming. Go listen to that and share. Special thank you to: @default_modes for all your mixing and production help - I'm learning a lot from you.

Thank you @dexteroj for all the laughter and friendship in addition to turning The Garden, Pt. 1 into a bop. What's next?

Thanks @joshfaggart helping me bring this music into visual, physical form and being on my team no matter how dumb I go with it. We have a lot more work to do.

Also @nataliecarrmusic for making me and Dexter look great on that photoshoot and consistent words of encouragement.

Also @k3winnie Eric Holman @prosciutto_barbie @probably_will @perrydactyls @snaunee for being supportive in so many ways.

Thanks @happi.grouse and @welcome_to_the_galexxy @mf_burns for gassing me up in a ways that I didn't know I needed.

Thanks to my sister @mleewentzel for helping me navigate very tough times and listening to me ramble endlessly.

I'm extremely grateful to be breathing the same air and walking on the same earth as y'all. Times are tough and so are we.

And thanks to myself because that's okay. taken in Charlotte, North Carolina by @top_achiever
