i had the pleasure of seeing a burlesque show while i was in japan! and wow😭😭im giggling writing this because, well, you guys look at the material!! i had no idea what i was getting myself into but WOWWW!!!! YES!!!! what an inspiring show, it’s so interesting seeing how different cultures interpret burlesque/different dance styles and i was in awe the entire time!! everything from the way the show was ran to the actual space it was happening in was so incredibly different than anything i’ve ever seen in my entire life i am so!!!!! what an inspiring show to see, all of the performers were so incredibly sweet to me, and were so excited to find out i do burlesque here in america!! i’m looking forward to going to more shows in different countries in the future!🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾

wow wow wow i am still in awe! it’s been a few weeks since my solo debut through @roseacademyofburlesque!! what a fulfilling journey it was to create my first piece of extended choreography, and it was all for me (to beyonce no less because duh)!!💗

i always knew i was going to do something revolving around burlesque or something adjacent growing up, because expressing myself through the means of showing my body in the most intimate ways is something i’ve always been drawn to. there’s something so liberating, so rebellious, so raw to exist in a body that people have always advocated against and then to dance how i want showing off every flaw and perfection i have. my relationship with movement has always been put on the back burner out of fear of not dancing good enough like others, or ‘looking clunky’. i cannot wait to put my career of full throttle, i am going to become the performer i have always dreamed of. cheers to taking off more clothes, showing more ass, and living how i want!!

As I prepare for my 2nd ever burlesque performance, I’m reflecting on how far I’ve come from the one day intro class I decided to ramsay take this year when I was having a sad day. I have been wanting to do burlesque since I was a wee lad, inspired heavily by @xtina’s blonde bob and chair routine. Since then, it’s always been something I’ve dreamed of doing, and I love being on stage so much. It’s such a liberating feeling as someone who’s been constantly ridiculed for their body to step into such a safe space where I can express myself in the most vulnerable form. All I’ve ever wanted to do is just dance, and I finally get to do that! I am so excited to see where this path takes me because I am finally doing something I love that I’ve been waiting to do! 🩷🩷🩷🩷
