A big week reflecting on our mammoth journey rowing 320km across the notorious Bass Strait raising money for @rednoseaustralia It was a wonderful experience along with all things crazy, tough, exciting, scary, funny, challenging, exhausting and so much more. I am so honoured to have been apart of such an inspiring, strong, loving and smart group of women and men, I have come away from this so lucky with so many new special role models to look up to. I’m so proud of myself and I look forward to pushing myself again. ♥️ by @topaz___lily
Spearfishing has taught me so much about patience, respect and gratitude for the ocean. It’s the most selective and sustainable way to harvest food. nothing wasted, nothing taken without thought. Always thankful by what the ocean provides! 💙. 📷 @annielila by @topaz___lily
2025 was soooo damn good. 🩵🩵🩵 Truly the best year of my 20s so far!!! So grateful for the people, the experiences, the love. Life is precious. Love hard. Back yourself. Be kind. It’s impossible to choose just 20 images to share, so here are some moments that made me laugh and smile from ear to ear. 😘 Thank you for the best year ever. 2026, I’m excited for you!!! 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 by @topaz___lily

This week has felt heavy. Everything unfolding within the surfing community, the Cornall 7, the state of the world and the constant reminders of how much work we still have to do when it comes to violence against women. It’s also Domestic Violence Awareness Month and this month marks 2 years of being free from an abusive relationship. For a long time, I carried shame that was never mine to carry. But with everything happening around us, I’ve felt compelled to share just a tiny snippet of my own life. Every woman I know has a story. Yet somehow, so many men claim they don’t know an abuser. There’s something deeply wrong with that. We need to stop protecting reputations at the expense of women who’ve been harmed. Stop dismissing behaviour because someone is a good surfer, a good mate, popular, successful or a “good bloke.” Being someone’s mate doesn’t mean defending everything they do. Sometimes being a good mate means holding them accountable. Call out your friends. Challenge the conversations happening behind closed doors. Stop laughing at jokes that degrade women. Believe women enough to listen, even when what they’re saying makes you uncomfortable. And to the men who already do this, thank you. We need more of you. I’m not sharing this for sympathy. I’m sharing it because silence allows these patterns to continue and because I know there are so many women carrying stories they’ve never felt safe enough to tell. Let’s do better. Let’s raise better men. Let’s stand together and create a world where women don’t have to grow up collecting stories like these. To every woman who has endured violence, harassment, coercion or abuse, I see you, I hear you, and I stand with you. Always. ❤️ by @topaz___lily
