Behind the seams. ✨ This rack might look like just dresses—but to us, it’s hours of careful pinning, stitching, pressing, and perfecting. Each gown has been lovingly tailored to fit each incredible marrier, and seeing them all lined up like this? Pure joy.

Wedding season is in full swing, and we're honored to be part of it!

Just like the weather shifts and the air turns warmer, our bodies also go through seasons of change...and that’s always okay. 💛

Here’s your gentle reminder to give yourself the same grace you give the changing seasons. 🌻

A project that we STILL think about because I mean... SERIOUSLY... how good is this?! 🧡

This client wanted to honor her late grandpa so we worked together to make the sweetest addition to her dress.

🪡 Every time these grandparents would sign a card, the grandma would draw these faces. We took the drawing, lettering and one of his shirts to create something so special.

Who's feeling a little misty eyed with us now? 🥹

So honored to be a small part in this stunning Italy elopement! 🧡

🪡 On the sewing front this was a custom overskirt and a standard bodice alterations and we love the way turned out!

You've got questions and we've got answers! 🧡 Up to 2 guests are permitted to attend a fitting with you as we have found that is the best fit for our studio to be sure your experience is positive and encouraging!

In addition, if a guest becomes not positive/encouraging during your fitting, we may dismiss them from our space because you are the number one priority in this fitting and we are here to support you in the best way possible.

It is such a deep honor to work on wedding gown redesigns, knowing just how meaningful they are to the ones we love most. I have the unique privilege of seeing the finished gown before anyone else — all while knowing how priceless that first look will be with the person they're honoring. 🧡

🪡 This is Shelbee's mom's wedding gown that we updated the fit to be more fit and flare vs the original a-line. Next, we opened up the neckline, then finished it off by adding a sparkle layer on the skirt and the bodice.

Every stitch carries a piece of their story, and it’s a privilege I’ll never take for granted. 💫

In honor of Mother's Day coming up, we wanted to share some more of our redesign projects that honor many of our bride's mother's, grandmother's and loved ones. Today we are featuring three design projects! 🧡

As you can see there are many different ways to incorporate meaningful dresses into your special day. Anything from a rehearsal dinner dress, to a getting ready outfit, or even something a little bit more subtle, like adding some of the lace/button details to your dress! 🪡

Meet Kati, the leading lady behind Topaz Thimble!

Sewing runs in my family and I initially learned to sew on machine in 2004 in high school (I'm pretty sure I've been sewing by hand since birth) In 2012 I earned a bachelor's degree from Kent State University in Fashion Design with a concentration in Technical Design, minor in Economics, and focus in Children's Wear. I worked in the corporate fashion world for 9 years at companies like Lands' End, Dick's Sporting Goods, and rue21. As a side business since 2010, I have been altering bridal and evening gowns before making it my full time career Feb 2020. 🪡

Since taking on Topaz Thimble full time, I've strived to bring the best quality alterations to my clients, all while making my shop a welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone. I've since expanded my sewing portfolio to now include additional skills including gender affirming alterations, vintage gown reconstruction and more in hopes to continue helping support love for all. 🧡
