@justanothersegment documented @bovemberdean entire show at @thedarkroomstl — front to back.

Think Netflix / HBO special… but the St. Louis way.

The Live Experience puts you right in the crowd — a front-row seat to a moment in STL music history.

#BTS with @scottyatl 🎥

One takeaway from our conversation: being an artist is both easy and hard at the same time.

Most people walking in his shoes would’ve given up a long time ago. You gotta have some 🐕 in you to win this race.

Had the pleasure of going to @slumfeststl and it made me realize something I think a lot of people overlook for whatever reason.

STL really has a local music culture that a lot of cities don’t have.

There aren’t many places where independent artists can consistently showcase their music at quality venues, sell merch, network, and actually connect face-to-face with the people supporting them.

The opportunity is here.

I think the next step for a lot of STL artists is putting just as much energy into everything that happens AFTER the music is recorded. The marketing. The visuals. The live show. The merch. The networking. The relationships. The consistency.

Making good music is only part of it. Building something around the music is what turns songs into a career and listeners into a real fan base.

STL already has the culture. We just have to take better advantage of what’s right in front of us.
S/o to @krisisblackstar nice meeting you looking forward to doing some work in the future.
