New online journal entry 🌀 Moving Stills 🌀

Moving Stills is an editorial about introspection and anticipation. About making movement exist within stillness. An invitation to pause, to think, and to unfold within the in-between.

Edito - Moving Stills - with @marine_billet for @blumenhausmagazine

Moving Stills started with a sentence.

While reading Entre les deux by @panayotispascot, I came across an idea from @beatrice_fournera that stayed with me: unfolding within the in-between.

We are always waiting for something. A project. Recognition. Love. A child. A new chapter. Yet the finish line keeps moving, and we rarely allow ourselves to inhabit the space in between.

This editorial explores that suspended state.

Inspired by the sublime landscapes of J. M. W. Turner and Caspar David Friedrich, and by the tension between stillness and movement found in Romantic and Post-Romantic painting, the images depict quiet figures surrounded by turbulent skies and shifting landscapes.

Calm within the storm.

Moving Stills is an invitation to pause, reflect, and unfold within the in-between.

The Inner Beast

Not born from comfort,
but from pressure

A tension beneath surface
Control thinning,
Instinct rising

No creature, only raw energy
In the gaze, the stance

Light carves
Body asserts

Chaos,
turned into form
