The summer holidays are a great time for both children and adults to read, but many don't have access to books. We welcome you into the bookshop to browse and consider donating to the Book Bank. Your donation would turn into a voucher, which is then given to @bath.foodbank. They distribute books to families who don't have access to reading new books but want to start. Your kindness would mean so much to help spread the magic we all feel when immersed in literature! by @toppingsbath

In the forthcoming weeks, we’ll welcome a dazzling line-up of novelists: Mieko Kawakami, Robert Harris, Autumn Woods, Saara El-Arifi and Charles Cumming. We’re excited to hear about a range of topics, from Woods’ dark academia romance to Cumming’s ‘canvas of twisty, white-knuckle action and spycraft’. Just a few days before Miro sadly leaves our bookshop to teach in Japan, he met his most beloved author and was completely overjoyed (as you can see)! Here's what my colleague thought of @mr.christiankracht's latest novel, 'Air':"The author sends a Swiss interior designer to paint a Norwegian data centre the perfect white and somehow tumbles out the other side of time – into a girl-and-arrow fantasy plot that almost made me disoriented, in a good way, like I was in a dream. Beautifully written, this is for those who love Piranesi and anyone who wants to be immersed in similar strange, labyrinthine worlds.
