Mostly trying to be the best horsewoman I can be. But also sometimes writing books about planetary health and doing politics in Val de Bagnes ✌🏻

Practice makes progress, as usual ⚡️

It’s easy to forget where you started when you’re in the nitty gritty of daily life. But then suddenly there’s a session like this one, where you realize that all that time, patience and consistent work on the details is starting to pay off. Slow progress is still progress, and we’re just getting started 🔥

Tack @mariagretzer for great training, I’m so happy and grateful for working together again 💪🏻🖤

The small difference that makes all the difference ✨

One of the biggest stress factor with moving back to Sweden for a little while with the horses was making sure that they were getting shod properly. It might seem a little over the top for some people (not that it matters what people think anyway 😂) to bring your farrier from Switzerland when there are people who can do it in Sweden too. But when you’ve worked with the same person for 10 years and that person happens to be really good at their job and you are very serious about all the things that keep your horses as sound as possible, there just isn’t another option 😂✌🏻

Merci @jeremygonin for having the best interest of my horses in mind, for being so open and happy to share your knowledge and for traveling to wherever the wind takes us 😂

Tack @jonssonphiliip for grabbing the opportunity and being so open and curious. And thank you @rebeccagiegold for being so passionate and a great example that you can never learn enough.

I feel very grateful for having such competent and dedicated people around me and the ponies. Making moments like today’s happen truly is amongst the things I like most about our sport! If you can’t be the best, at least make sure to work with the best 🤓

8 years with Santi today 🖤 which means that from now on, she will have lived her life longer with me than without me. 8 years of growing alongside each other. She has definitely taught me more than I have taught her 😂 when our journey began, I was just about to start my master’s and had no clue where I was heading. Always with great determination, just not so sure about the direction 😂 The determination is still there, and the direction is finally somewhat clear, which I owe to her. No one has taught me to listen as much a she has. A lot has changed during these years, but being with her always feels like home ✨ Santi, the Queen, you will always be simply the best 🖤 by @toralof

When the world falls silent, and it’s just the two of you ✨

@sorayaexquis perfectly caught the stillness that horses bring to my mind and to life in general. There might be a hundred of things going on at the same time, good and bad, but they always make it make sense, they always bring stillness to the chaos 🩵 horses 🫶 taken in Psaro’s Horses SNC by @toralof

Cali, you kind and honest soul, thank you for letting me learn with you! 🫶🏻 We’ve jumped two clear rounds with a good feeling in the past two days. They are not perfect. I need to practice my turns and keep the activity throughout the whole thing to give her better conditions. But, there are two big positives in this round.

1. I kept going even though it wasn’t perfect (before I would have stopped and whined about it 😂)
2. I kept my focus.

So, yes I’m still too slow but as usual, practice makes progress! Thank you @wernermuffsportferde for your patience with me and merci @ninouchka64 @psaros.horses pour ton soutien 🌟

We keep at it! ✊🏻

La vraie Vie with Looping La Vraie Vie 🥰

Since I got Looping it has become more and more insane to me that so many 4 year old horses are out on competition already, jumping courses and doing “old horse things”. Of course, all horses are different but there’s just no way that their bodies and minds are fully ready for it at this age. They are still big babies (Looping definitely is, a slightly spoiled one too 😂). I understand the financial pressure many professionals face, that they need to increase the value of the horse as soon as possible, but at the same time, you can’t really rush nature. They won’t grow faster just because we want them too. For some it works, but do the horses last on the long term? Are they still happy, healthy athletes when they’re 10-14 years old ? I’m not so sure.

Obviously, I’m not doing everything right either, it’s a never ending continuous learning process that will never end 😂 But, as someone smart said: “Go fast, build to crash, grow slow, build to last.” I aim to build him up slowly and mindfully so that he hopefully enjoys working with me for many years ahead, inside and outside the show ring ✨ Today’s session was a total delight. I’m feeling extra grateful for everything I get to learn from being around horses. Patience and simplicity go a long way in regular life too! And god knows I need to practice those things 😂

End of ramble. Thanks for reading 😂 merci @claire.dm 🙏🏼🎥
