Summer, part two… finally.😅☀️ We had our first frost here yesterday, so I’ve been busy harvesting as much as I could from the garden this week before it hit.

I think part of me was also holding off on sharing this because I wasn’t quite ready to let summer end yet.🥹 But now I’m equally excited to start sharing spooky season, and I have a whole bunch of work I can finally post that happens to be absolutely perfect for this time of year. IYKYK.😜

I did so much this summer. I spent time with family and friends, made some new ones, had plenty of adventures with Beans, worked hard, learned new skills, grew a garden I loved, ate very well 😂, tried new things, and made a lot of really good memories.

I can’t wait to see what this next season has in store.💞

Beans, Beanis, Bennis the Menace, Beanie Baby, and several other names that barely qualify as English anymore. 😂 I can’t believe it’s already been two years since Beans was adopted from @thedogrescuesociety. 🥹🤍

He is the sweetest, smartest, most loving, loyal, happy, energetic, cuddly bed hog… and my life has gotten infinitely better with him in it.

One of my favourite things has been watching him realize that this is home. He seems so much safer and more settled now. His sleep startle has gotten so much better, he has his routines and favourite toys, and every time we walk past my mom’s street he wants to check in at “Grandma’s house.” My mom has fully accepted that she is Beans’ Grandma, which I love. 💞

Making sure he has the best life I can give him has never felt like a sacrifice. I feel lucky that I’m one of his people and get to take care of him. He asks for very little besides love, snacks, walks, and approximately 80–90% of the bed.

A couple of months ago, I found a few bumps on his skin, and one tested positive for cancer. Within a week he had surgery, it was removed, and thankfully he’s doing great. Through it all, he has somehow stayed his happy, loving self.

I pray we have many more Bean-niversaries ahead, but having dogs has taught me how precious our time with them is. We’re never guaranteed nearly enough of it. So take the pictures, go on the walks, make the memories, spoil them a little, and appreciate the ordinary days too.

That’s why I’m so grateful @scanovasphotography took these photos last summer @allwhowanderflowerfarm. She was amazing with Beans and made the shoot so easy. We got all of these and more in about 20 minutes, and she captured so many different sides of him. I rotate them as my phone wallpaper all the time. 🥰

I would do it again in a heartbeat. Having photos like these of him is priceless to me.

After everything he’s been through this year, having him here healthy, happy, and doing so well makes this Bean-niversary feel extra special.

Apparently I had a pretty full summer for someone who barely posted any of it lol. 😅

I worked, spent time with family and friends, explored new places, ate amazing food, and still somehow managed to spend a lot of time outside, in my garden, and with Beans.

I think one of my favourite parts of this summer was how connected it felt. I spent time with people I really care about, strengthened some friendships, made a few unexpected new ones, and said yes to things I probably would have talked myself out of before. There was a lot of figuring things out along the way, but also a lot of really good reminders to get out of my own head and actually enjoy what was right in front of me.

I have WAY too many photos for one post, so this is part one.

The whole perimeter of the garden was filled with sunflowers. I use the stalks as natural supports for peas and beans, with pumpkins and squash growing underneath as ground cover, inspired by the traditional Indigenous “Three Sisters” companion planting method. 🌻🌱🎃

Thank you, Beni! Hair so fresh it felt like a good excuse to finally post again. 😂💞

It’s been a long time since I’ve shared much on here. I never really planned to disappear, I just needed a bit of space from social media for a while, and somehow a little while turned into a couple of years.

A lot has happened in that time. I’ve still been working, doing stunts, acting, training, travelling, meeting people, making memories, all of it. I definitely have some catching up to do.

I have missed the good parts of social media though. Keeping up with people, supporting friends, sharing things, and just feeling a little more connected. Lately it’s started to feel like the right time to come back.🫶

Grown with love, carved with care 🎃🌿

This Halloween, my decor got a special twist with pumpkins, squash, and cornstalks straight from my own garden (which I forgot to mention last time)! I got a ton of produce from my first season ever- lots of different herbs, kale, lettuce, sunflowers, corn, several kinds of tomatoes, cabbage, both hot and bell peppers, beautiful flowers, and so much more! From the first seed planted to the final spooky touch, this season has been all about creating magic and memories. Here’s to a year’s worth of pumpkins and a heart full of gratitude! 🍂
