And now my ultimate favorite picture from Milan.

This is the one that brings me to tears.

This is the one that reminds me of the first pics taken of me in the early 2000s when I knew modeling was the thing I wanted to do.

My mother took them with her first camera phone. I was in a red dress my father bought me, beside our old house in Jamaica. My hair was in a big puff at the top of my head and I recall wearing my mother’s sunglasses.

It was then I knew.

I knew self expression and art in a way that felt real and true to me.

It feels spiritual in a way many people won’t understand because “modeling…spirituality, oh please”, but for those of you that understand - as I was writing I looked up and outside the window, where a yellow cab with the numbers 444 - 4444 whizzed past.

So yes spiritual.
