Surfer boy GRADUATED! 🤙🏽🏄‍♂️🎓✨

I graduated from UVU with my Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Strategic Communication with a minor in both Applied Communication and Human Resource Management✅

5 years at UVU I spent with a lot of stress, laughter, smiles, mental breakdowns, obstacles and curveballs thrown at me. I’ve gained friends and lost friends. Many mental health issues with quizzes, papers, essays and projects and homework piling up. I managed to go to work and school both full time and I still manage a social life also. I wanted to give up and bring myself down. I pulled it together and I didn’t give up and never thought I would make it but here I am today!

UVU has given me so many opportunities and life changing moments that I experienced. I’ll never forget my time here at this wonderful campus. I am very grateful for my experiences and the people I have met along the way. I found the type of career I wanted to do officially in the field of Hospitality Management and Food & Beverage and becoming a future Director of Sales/Event Coordinator in the PR field!

I love my parents so much! They never told me to go to school but I decided for myself to go and they are my biggest cheerleaders and watching me find my own adventure. For the rest of my family, I thank them as well for coming and allowing me to be an inspiration to them.

Lastly, I want to thank 5 of my best friends (who you all know as Time and Place) that was able to meet during my time in Utah. For being an inspiration to me and allowing me to stay in school and keep going. Happy I made the decision to go back to school because of them. They knew how important this was to me graduate and they watched me struggle personally and mentally. (More on them later)

What’s next for me? We will have to find out later as I continue to find my own path down the road. I pray to god and thank him everyday to lead me where I need to be next🙏🏻

Thank you so much UVU for everything! You have been AMAZING and I will miss this amazing campus!

Forever Wolverine and now officially a UVU alumni! 🐺

TODAY IS THE DAY! I AM OFFICIALLY A COLLEGE GRADUATE!!! 🎓✨🙌

5 years at UVU
11 years of college
3 different universities I attended (Arizona State and UNLV).
2 denial letters from BYU. (All good @brighamyounguniversity, I forgive you 😉)
FIVE TIMES I switched my major (Business Management, Exercise Science, Psychology, Hospitality Management)
47 roommates
126 credits
1 internship
5 cute handsome best friends that also graduated with me at the same time.
1 cute little wiener dog that I absolutely love and own.
2 amazing parents

and here I am today with one expensive piece of paper! Happy to be graduated at 29 years old! 🙌✅

I am so grateful for all the opportunities and experiences as well as receiving an education that I gained here from UVU. Coming to UVU, I had no idea what I was doing and what to expect. I have been living in Utah for 5 years already and from the most sweat and tears that I have put into my education and personal life and knowing that I was all by myself the whole time knowing I can do hard things. It took me a long time to realize that oh and of course I wanted to quit many times which also led me to take forever to graduate because of the fear of failing and my mental health was always in the way but I was able to prove doing hard things.

Overall, the friendship with people I have met, people I have let go/abanded me, the many jobs I have encountered quickly and all the other good things here even on campus and the "WADDDUP TORIAN" in the hallways, and the goal to make graduation and receiving an education a goal, I will never forget.

Thank you UVU for making this a safe place for me and growing as a person to become where I am today, you are right... this is a place for me :)

🙌🏼 AND MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU 🙌🏼

I told you something good was coming!
Exactly ONE month away until I graduate! 👨🏼‍🎓🎓🧸✅

I can't believe my undergrad chapter is finally coming to an end. I’m FINALLY GRADUATING! I’m graduating with my Bachelors in Public Relations and Strategic Communication with both minors in Human Resource Management and Applied Communication with highly focused on Event Planning and Hospitality Management. I am extremely grateful for my time here at UVU and all the opportunities and resources that they have provided for me to help me continue my education and finish school and also for finding me 5 absolute AMAZING best friends that I met and they became my emotional support and shoulder to cry on just to help me to stay in school and help me with homework and late night talks about life and emotional subjects just to make sure I do not dropout of school even though there was multiple times I wanted too (many many MANY times!🤪)…

It’s been my dream and goal to finish school the last 11 years of being in college!

Anyways, this surfer boy here has some more work to do and needs to get back to his projects, papers and essays so until then, the countdown begins… 30 days to go! 🎓🙌🏻✨

September is Suicide Prevention Month ❤️‍🩹

I’ve gone back and forth about sharing this, but I feel like I need to be honest about where I am and what I’ve been going through. This year has been one of the hardest years of my life, and behind the smiles and the moments where I seem okay, I’ve been struggling more than most people realize.

Losing my career back inJanuary for wrongful false termination, struggling financially has brought overwhelming stress, panic attacks, and some of the darkest moments I’ve experienced. I’ve been the most suicidal to this date of even having the thoughts, but I’m OK, I PROMISE.

I’ve struggled with suicidal thoughts for years and have been in places where I questioned my worth and whether my life mattered. Being judged, excluded, and made to feel like I wasn’t good enough only made those feelings stronger. Unkind words and standoffish people that I was getting often.

I spent a lot of time comparing myself to others, feeling left behind, alone, and like I didn’t belong. I made choices I’m not proud of while desperately searching for acceptance and a sense of belonging. Even with my best friends who were finding their person and getting married while I was the opposite of them. This also led to angry fallouts and heated abandonments.

I live with Borderline Personality Disorder, but it does not define me. My struggles are part of my story, but they do not get to decide how my story ends. It’s hard to live with this, not going to lie. I hate it so much and I often think about it every day.

I’m still here. I’m still fighting. I’m still learning to love myself and believe that my life has meaning. I am getting as much help as I can as much resources I can to help me stay alive and help me to be happy. It is not easy, but I’m hanging in there.

If you’re struggling too, please remember: your pain is real, but it doesn’t have to define your future. You are more than your worst moments, and you deserve to be here. And I know that’s easier said than done.

You are loved
Please be nice and please be kind ❤️

SURPRISE!!!! 🙌🏼📚🙈 🎉

I’m back at UVU after I graduated 3 years ago! You were probably wondering why I was back on campus in the first place? Well I’m doing prerequisites to get into Grad School at Utah State (USU) in their Sports Management Masters program. While I’m here, I’m also earning a certificate in Sports Management here at UVU which I plan to graduate with that next year May 2027! This certificate will also help me get into grad school as well. I’ve always love the idea of learning and just getting an education. Now, growing up when I was younger I was not good in school or had the best grades even though I wanted to be but hey, here I am today! So yay for more business classes I have to take and math classes that I avoided last time (also I’m not good at!! eww!!) but hey wish me luck (and loads of prayers too)!!!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Happy to be a Wolverine again and be back on this wonderful campus! But working towards being a soon to be future Aggie!!!! 😇

I am just now getting to this after trying to catch up on sleep but this past weekend I was able to go attend the Utah YSA Area Conference and I will tell you, out of the 4 years it has been put together, this year was the absolute BEST that I have ever experienced and I attended within the last 4 years! With no sleep the last 2 days, being on my feet all day and meeting a lot of new friends and catching up on some old friends as we (and had a Witches Brew Alani to keep me up) 😂 Iam Tongi performed and that was my 3rd time seeing him in concert and I also have the opportunity to take some time out of my social activities to help volunteer.

I learned from a scripture recently from Moroni 7:48
“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ... “

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

What a great weekend and to kick off the school year! 🙌🏼

Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

Due to everything in my personal life I wasn’t able to be on here last month so I’m posting it today and happy 1st day of June.

If you didn’t know, I been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. I found out 6 years ago during the COVID-19 pandemic and it’s been the hardest thing today to deal with.

BPD affects the way I see myself and the people around me. It can make relationships challenging, emotions intense and unpredictable, and it often impacts my self-image and feelings of loneliness. I sometimes struggle with impulsive reactions, fear of abandonment, and overwhelming emotions. Many people with BPD also experience anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. For me, it can explain why I feel emotions so deeply or why I can become upset more easily than others.

One of the biggest struggles I face with BPD is feeling jealous when close friends enter new relationships and aren’t around as much anymore. I genuinely want to be happy for them, but sometimes those feelings of jealousy and loneliness take over. I’ve experienced several falling-outs with friends because of these struggles, and it hurts to feel left behind. Being single while watching others move forward in their relationships can make those feelings even stronger and often leaves me feeling more isolated.

I’m the one who is always reaching out first. Whether it’s friends who don’t communicate often, people who say they’re too busy to make plans, individuals at church, coworkers, or even people on social media, it can become emotionally exhausting. Not being heard or seen or cared.

I don’t expect everyone to fully understand what living with BPD is like. Truthfully, there are times when I don’t fully understand it myself.

I remind myself of something I often said during my mission: “Just keep on keeping on.” That’s what I’m doing today—with faith, hope, and determination. What the help of Kelly father trying to get me doing my everyday struggles I’m doing I’m definitely not giving up.

Please be kind and mindful

Suicide Prevention Month & Fal SZN🍂

I know this month is coming to an end today but I was postponing on this for a while to post this but September is Suicide Prevention Month. For me, this isn’t just a campaign — it’s my reality. I’ve shared my story for years because I believe in being open about things we’re taught to hide.

Growing up, I struggled for years with suicidal thoughts and even made attempts on my own life. I felt like I was trying so hard to be happy, but nothing was enough. I believed I was no longer valuable, that maybe I didn’t deserve to be here anymore.

During that time, people were often mean to me. I was picked apart, judged, and treated like I didn’t matter. Those words and actions stuck with me. They made me feel even more invisible, even more like an outsider. I began to think maybe they were right about me.

In my pain, I started drinking and doing things I shouldn’t have things I thought were “cool” or would help me fit in. But deep down, I still felt like I didn’t belong. I wasn’t seen as “hot” or “pretty” by others. I constantly compared myself to people who seemed to have everything: relationships, engagements, and lives full of happiness and stability.

That comparison turned into jealousy, anger, and shame. When my friends got engaged or found love, I couldn’t always be happy for them. I lashed out instead. I had fallouts with people I cared about, not because I didn’t love them, but because it hurt so much to feel left behind.

Inside, I felt abandoned, alone, and ashamed — ashamed of needing help, ashamed of my feelings, ashamed of who I was becoming. Depression consumed me. I was furious, lost, and convinced that my pain would never end. All I wanted was to be happy, but I couldn’t see the light anymore. My sorrow felt permanent.
I live with Borderline Personality Disorder, but it is not who I am. It’s only one part of my story, not the whole of it. I’m still here, still standing, still reaching for joy. And you can too.

Be Kind
Be Nice
Stay Strong 🙏
It’s ok not to be ok. ❤️‍🩹

I love you all 💚
