Someone told me the other day that they overheard someone talking shit about me—making fun of the content I post and, honestly, me as a whole.

And if I’m being honest, six months ago, that probably would’ve really hurt my feelings.

But the woman I’ve worked so hard to become today? She doesn’t give a shit.

One thing I’ve learned in my adult life is that people who spend the most time talking down on other people are usually fighting battles within themselves. And when someone feels the need to make you feel small, sometimes it’s because they’re intimidated by who you’re becoming.

So here’s to posting what I want anyway.
Taking up space anyway.
Being unapologetically myself anyway.

Disappointment was never an option. Not as the eldest daughter, and not as a business owner.

I never felt like I had to be perfect. I just always felt like I had to do what was expected of me. So I say yes. I make it work. I figure it out. I always do.

Because letting someone down feels heavier than an overflowing plate.

The same instincts that made me the dependable daughter built this business. Now I’m learning they can’t be the only way I run it.

Sometimes getting back on track isn’t about doing more — it’s about getting back to the habits that make you feel like yourself again.
