Hi! I climb rocks.

The holds on this climb hurt soo good 🤤(Snaggletooth is the perfect name for it).

Finding crimp-ish holds in a sea of PNW slopers felt like finding a hidden gem, and so close to home too. I thoroughly enjoyed every move on this one because it felt like a TB2 problem lol. It fit my box pretty well with a bit of umph and gave me the crimp fix I was needing. Now I want more!

Oh, and of course I chose the hottest time of day to work it, which was def not the play but I made it work anyway.

I <3 alpental.

The sequence on this one was so cool! Loved the heel transitions. (PS: Classic me, I forgot what to do at the top out so I sped through that section of the vid. Also, I didn’t realize until after sending that Kaya says “sit start” but most people elbow start so I dunno lol 🤷🏻‍♀️).

Yay for heel recycling! ♻️ I ended the Squamish season with an injured left “knee pit” and couldn’t really apply pressure on my left foot without pain so it’s a big deal for me to be able to do a heavy left heel climb again! Thanks to my unofficial PT @swanseamo for the exercises (that I did incorrectly for like 2 weeks) 🙂.

PS: I think this might be a bit easier for smaller peeps because of the tight heels and small box. The pump is real though. taken in Moe's Valley by @tornado_ale

I remember walking past this climb last year thinking, what are these slimper holds?? Fast forward to last week and thought, maaaybe they’re not as terrible as they look if I turn my fingers just right to find the sweet spots.

Turns out, it’s a fun climb with a bunch of beta variations to fit different boxes! I thought the close left heel worked nicely for shorter people.

But… my top-out was tragic. I’m notorious for botching top-outs because I basically black out from the adrenaline. I threw blindly to a jug, completely overshot it, and only managed to snag it on the way down when my feet cut 🤙🏼. S/O to @stan_cs for talking me through it.

Finally got to hop on this climb on a weekday since it’s usually packed—and for good reason! This was one of the first climbs I was psyched about when I visited Squamish few years back, so it was extra special to get on it last week!

Big thanks to @expressles for working it with me and for taping the hole in my pants lol.

I was in awe the first time I saw this board crimp line—felt like such a rare find with all the sloppers in Squamish. It’s tucked in small a corridor, which makes the wall even more striking! Definitely ‘my style’ for a first of the grade.

I used to write off anything that felt too reachy or “out of my league,” but I’ve been sooooo inspired by others to step out of my comfort zone. I’m still figuring out where my limits are and am constantly surprised by the progress along the way.

After a few alpine starts, breaking the climb down into three sections, and punting at the end more times than I’d like to admit, it finally went!

Huge shoutout to @swanseamo and @masa.climbs for showing us the beauty of Portal (+fan, cheering, and filming service), @expressles and @csartoshi for alpine hiking each session with me and keeping vibes high, and of course @stan_cs for always comforting me. This was my last go of the day before I was going to call it quits lol. While not the cleanest send (my sweaty hands caused many dry fires sooo fans were a must, I also missed the arete crimp and botched a few holds), this is a meaningful one!

Crimps and heels on an overhang are my favorite!! This top out…not so much lol.

Kobe Tai tested my board and head game, but I managed to walk away with a day flash yesterday! So fun!! I nearly fumbled the top out when I got the leg shakes 🥴. I also realized later that I did the intro moves differently than I had originally planned, which actually saved me an extra move. I guess my takeaway is that with send goes it’s about getting into a flow state—not overanalyzing and doing what feels most natural.

Thanks for working this with me @annicesbeta, for all the support @swanseamo, and for keeping me calm when my foot slipped @stan_cs lol

I love, love, love this climb! 5 ⭐️. It reminds me so much of Hueco with its technical sequence under an overhung roof. This was the first climb I touched at Moe’s and I didn’t want to move on (sorry, Stan), despite not having explored the valley yet. The crimps are just the right level of in-cut—not too painful—and you can get pretty creative with the footwork. Plenty of options for short people with some heel hook tracking, toe hooks, and even a sneaky knee bar at the start. It flowed so well and felt almost…relaxing?

Did we extend our Vegas trip to send our projects? Maybeee. This fun little outdoor board problem with surprisingly not as painful of underlings shut me down at the top jug many times but the send felt so close! I refused to wait another season lol. Happy to report a send and more time in Red Rock before heading back to rainy Seattle!

Thanks to friends who will spontaneously extend trips to send: @expressles @csartoshi @stan_cs

Wooo! I’ve had my eye on this climb since seeing videos of @climbonsister send it like a decade ago, thinking it was waaaaaaay beyond my pay grade but would be a dream to do one day. So, I always tried it for fun each time I visited to see if I’d made progress. After climbing in Squamish more consistently, I felt confident enough to take it more seriously. It took me a bit to find short beta for the first move, but it finally went after 3 sessions! Thank you for the continued inspiration, Jeline ❤️.

A few mental notes:
- This climb has become extremely popular. There was a group of like 20 people on it one evening 😵‍💫.
- Deadpoints are my weakness (Shankville flashbacks), so I made goalpost tick marks to help me aim for the first move lol.
- Night climbing at your limit in 20-degree colder temps, makes me black out at the top because all beta goes out the door when I’m cold and can’t see.
- I need more projects outside of Kraft boulders.

Overall, it was a fun little climb! Thanks for hiking, hyping, spotting, and capturing @expressles @csartoshi @stan_cs 🫶🏻.

Shanksvilllllle! 🔪What a journey to dial in the right hand crimp. So much falling, brushing, powerspotting, fanning, and words of encouragement went into this. I counted 25 filmed [failed] attempts but each one taught me some sort of micro body adjustment that didn’t seem like much at the time but kept me hopeful, which eventually led to the send. While I had the rest of the climb dialed, the right-hand gaston felt totally out of reach for me (literally) since I couldn’t get to it the way average height people do lol. Thankfully @csartoshi found THE foot that worked for my stature and I gave it a rip (finally, after being stubborn). Without it, I might have given up.

Hiking to Shanksville with pads is rough and staying positive when you keep falling at the same spot is also tough, but @stan_cs @expressles and @csartoshi were the absolute best support crew!!! Every single time!! Love y’all.

Decided to give this climb a try a few weeks ago out of curiosity — no expectations to actually send it. After managing to stick the first 3 moves, I wanted to see how far I could go and to my surprise, I made steady progress each session. Honestly, this climb was constantly on my mind and I started to “train” indoors to boost my power endurance. I’ve never sent a V8 and only done a few V7s, so part of me wonders if this is a “soft” V9. But regardless of the grade, sending this route after putting in so much effort felt incredibly rewarding. I even teared up at the top 🥹. Huge thanks to @expressles and @csartoshi for hiking all the way up to hype me up, and shoutout to @stan_cs for pushing me to try climbs out of my comfort zone…and insisting I practice certain moves in iso…
