I remember telling Joe that I would NEVER run a half marathon with him way back in my first year of undergrad… only to end up doing it in my first year of med school!

I never in my life thought I could do this, but it was my friends who believed I could that kept me motivated every step of the way. I had every negative thought imaginable, but I kept showing up to train and eventually crossed the finish line.

This was a legendary experience and I’m grateful my friends came out to cheer and run with me. taken in Downtown Buffalo by @tornnaeto

It’s the end of the first semester, but the journey’s just beginning. I thought med school wasn’t in the cards for me a few years ago. Now here I am, 1/8 of doctor. taken in Buffalo, New York by @tornnaeto

It’s no longer a dream! This is reality! I’m finally here and I’m so thankful for my friends, family and supporters who’ve been there every step of the way! I wouldn’t be who I am without the people I’ve met and the things I’ve experienced! While I got here with hard work, I am very lucky to have the support and the environment to get me here.

This has been years in the making. I’m extremely excited to embark on an incredible new journey with such remarkable people!

To all of you who watched and supported me: I thank you. Stay tuned because the peak is ahead! taken in Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences by @tornnaeto
