This week our Girls Summer Development Wrestling class focused on the details of getting off the bottom—building a strong base, creating movement, hand control, and getting back to your feet. These are the fundamentals that win matches.

Whether you’re preparing for your first season or looking to sharpen your skills before competition, this class is for you.

@torotechmma is locked and loaded for El Paso we got 4 TOROs ready to ruin some rodeo clowns day‼️ The addition of @bravo_boxing_lab has been a clear and immediate upgrade to the already proven wrestle jitsu style of @10ptucson …. July 11th @thanh_an.le & @abirchakmma set the tone as Andrew makes his pro debut and I step into the cage for last time in my career.

2 weeks later @manuelito_.10 looks to keep to his finishing ways he’s 2-0 with 2 finishes and looks to stay unbeaten at @kingdom_fightleague while the long awaited debut of @vinci_five20_ takes place and looks to start his career with a big BANG‼️

JJWL – Match 2 of 2 @jjworldleague

@isabella.kazushi put everything together in this match.

She opened with a clean inside trip, immediately transitioned into her guillotine sequence, and when her opponent defended, she stayed composed through the scramble.

Rather than forcing the finish, Bella followed the movement, secured the back, and finished with a rear naked choke.

This is exactly what we’re striving for—connecting wrestling, judo, and jiu-jitsu into one continuous system. Every position leads to the next opportunity.

Bella continues to prove that being coachable and trusting the process accelerates growth. She’s developing into a well-rounded grappler by blending all three disciplines.

JJWL – Match 1 of 2

Isabella Santa Maria was moved up to the Grey Belt division and found herself facing another wrestler.

While her primary focus has always been wrestling and judo, her newaza (ground game) is still developing. Every tournament is another opportunity to gain experience and continue building her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

What Isabella may lack in mat time, she more than makes up for with her willingness to learn. She is incredibly coachable and trusts the process. As a coach, she’s one of the few athletes I can “drive like a video game.” She does an outstanding job of getting herself into strong positions, listening between movements, and making the adjustments in real time.

That ability to stay calm, process information, and execute coaching is a skill that will continue to pay dividends as her Jiu-Jitsu evolves.

Some matches are wars. Others are over before they even begin.

At the Perry High Tournament during her senior season (December 2025), Gabriella Rios @gabriella_rios818 wasted no time making a statement—launching her opponent with a beautiful throw and securing the pin in under 17 seconds.

This is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. Confidence. Commitment. Execution.

The offseason work, the countless reps, and the willingness to compete all showed up in one explosive moment.

We’re proud of everything Gabriella accomplished in a Ranger singlet and can’t wait to see what’s next in her wrestling journey.

Throwing it back to December 4, 2025, at the Perry Girls Wrestling Tournament. 💜🤼‍♀️

Every tournament is another opportunity to learn, compete, and grow. These moments helped lay the foundation for the season and showed the grit, resilience, and heart that Ranger Wrestling is built on.
