🚨 NEW DEMO ALERT: I was long overdue for a fresh new commercial voiceover demo, so here it is! Big thanks to @jmcdemos and the seamless process it was to work on this together! I'm definitely not the same talent I was when I made my last one, so it was time to showcase that growth. Every commercial tells a one-of-a-kind story, and delighted to share this with current/potential clients on how I can tell theirs. Appreciate all of those who have been following along on this ride, there will be more to come! 👊🏾

Reflecting on the stories, histories, cultures, and voices that have shaped our country is something many people are doing today. Doing that through artistic expression can be profound.

This is Step Afrika's The Fruits of Our Labor and it does just that.

It examines what it means to build, to belong, and to believe in a nation still in the making through step and percussion.

Pleasure to lend my voice to this promo about the production. It's currently playing at @arenastage in Washington, DC. 🎙️ Thanks to my reps at @atlas_talent for this one!

No look-back on the month of September, but instead at a moment in September from a couple weeks ago flying back home for a short trip. These trips back home to FL now aren't the same the way they used to be, and never will be in many ways. When arriving...I don't receive her texts about how she's tracking my flight, her telling me how eager she is for me to land, and that she's already made a plate of food that's waiting for me when I get to the house. It's going on 9 months since mom gained her wings and it doesn't get any easier. I had a little trepidation about going back considering what I was going back for, but as we were coming down on our descent and opening up the window shade and seeing that we were flying into a double rainbow was a very calming moment that soothed the dread I was feeling. Really dope to see up close while in the sky. Definitely felt like someone with a big moonhead was telling me "Don't worry about a thing, it'll be fine. Just do what you need to do and head back to NY." And that's exactly what I did, and it was all fine. Although I can't get those texts I usually get as I land, this wasn't a bad consolation prize. I'll take it. ✈️☁️🌈🕊️🤙🏾 by @torran_vo

With NYC Climate Week happening now, it feels like a fitting time to share the last audio description project I did over the summer, the documentary Gaslit produced by @greenpeace.

@gaslit follows Jane Fonda through Texas and Louisiana meeting people whose lives have been impacted by the expansion of oil, gas, and petrochemical production in their communities. My contribution is small but happy to help tell these stories of people working to protect their home to the audio description audience.

I believe it's playing in select cities currently, but not on any of the major streaming platforms yet.

Been back in NYC for a few days, but finally getting a chance to catch up on other things and reflect a little bit about One Voice and Dallas last weekend. No awards this time, but man I had such a great time catching up with my VO family, meeting some new people, and celebrating one another. It was also a special trip because now that my sister is in Texas, she drove over and we spent a good amount of time over the weekend hanging out and showing me Dallas while getting fried in that Texas heat! Congrats again to @slimdareazon on taking home Male Voice Actor of the Year and sharing his spotlight with the rest of us nominees 🙏🏾 Really great time and let's do it again next year!🤙🏾
