Here’s as good a fire update as anything. Green is level one (get ready), yellow level two (get set), rose’ level three (go!). And the fire is the red blob going over the boundaries. The blue dot is me.

You can see how the fire is moving by the way it’s still level two just north of the fire, but the level three to the east is spreading quickly. That whole second and third band of red is new from the weekend. And you can see the fire is essentially contained to the south and along Hwy 35, the only road access around the mountain. Southeast is also well contained. But it may blow all the way through to rte 197 on the road to the dalles. They’ll protect the few structures but boy a bunch of timber is gonna burn along the way. 😢 by @torridfergi
