Attempted to come up with something poetic about the perfectly imperfect, but clearly that didn’t work out. 🤣

It both felt too cliche, and also I’m not a poet, so. Please just enjoy this whimsy, rustic beauty and *insert your wisdom about imperfection here.* 💛✨

Inspiration for your cake design can come from anywhere. Like this cake, it could be based on the bride’s dress!

It could be based on your invitations, colors, elements of your decor like flowers, grandma’s cake, or even just something that catches your eye.

Wherever your inspiration comes from, we’ll turn it into a cake just for you! taken in The Winter Garden, Rochester, New York by @tortaroc

Real flowers or faux?

A question I get asked often. And the answer?

Whatever you want, babes.

And maybe that’s vague, but it really just depends on the look you prefer, and the budget you have to spend!

I’ll work with what you give me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Either way, though, highly recommend including some greenery with your flowers! It just takes the look to the next level, and makes it feel more complete!

One of the things I adore about making cakes is the diversity and versatility of decorating. Truly, cake is something that has the ability to reflect every person’s unique personality.

Every person has a place, with a cake designed to celebrate THEM just for who they ARE, and I absolutely love that. by @tortaroc

Dessert deserves a moment 🤍 Styled tables, risers, and display pieces that make it feel intentional — not last-minute.

Let’s talk supplemental cakes for a sec 👇🏻

I often get asked what size a cutting/display cake *should* be. And the answer is just whatever size you want it to be. 🤷🏻‍♀️

‘Cause, you see that little single tier in the corner there? That guy’s a supplemental cake (aka a kitchen cake), and he exists solely to make up extra servings that you don’t get from your display cake. 🙌🏻

So, focus on your display cake being whatever size artwork you want to show off (or that fits within your budget), and the other servings will be taken care of. 👌🏻 taken in The Clubhouse at Durand Eastman Park by @tortaroc
