celebrating my birthday in nature 🥞🧡🍂🎈

my last birthday without a little one. so much growth, lessons, and learnings this past year. I don’t know if it’s age or being pregnant and knowing I’ll be a mother so soon, but lately, I’ve slowly let go of judgment of myself, overthinking what people think of me, and overall caring about things I have no control over.

today, I celebrate being 33 weeks pregnant, 3 years sober, grateful to be a dog mom, and a year happily married.

most importantly it’s such an honor to be my baby’s first home & safe space 🦢 can’t wait to hold her!

my first (and only) bump summer 🤍

the second trimester was honestly the best. I had energy again, actually felt good, and got to spend the summer pregnant with our little one.

what’s even crazier is knowing that when we have our second baby, my wife will be the one carrying. we’ve already decided we want to be two moms to two kids.

we’ll each get to experience the kicks, the emotions, the labor, and the love that comes with bringing a baby into this world. there’s something so incredibly special about knowing we’ll both get to experience motherhood from the inside out.

A glimpse into our fertility journey and first trimester moments 🤰🏼🤍🍟

It still doesn’t feel real.

This journey began in the summer of 2024. Later that fall, we connected with Seed Scout, and that’s when our sperm donor journey officially began. By spring 2025, we had found the person we wanted to help us bring our future family to life.

By fall 2025, we were ready for our first attempt and tried IUI. When it didn’t work, we decided to move forward with IVF, hoping it would give us a better chance.

In December, I went through my egg retrieval. Then January and February became a blur, balancing work while starting the IVF protocol, co-hosting the Legacy Circle, attending Expo West, and celebrating Good Bacteria’s pop-up. Looking back, I don’t know how I did it.

On March 8, we walked into our embryo transfer. Two weeks later, we received the news that changed everything…we’re expecting our little one!!

This journey hasn’t been easy. I’ll share more soon about the reality of the first trimester, the exhaustion, the nausea, the low moments, and what I often called “hell.”

The one constant through it all was my amazing wife and pup.
