Global Magazine Feature: So honored to have my Spoken Word poetry work featured on the digital Winter Issue of @wilpublication

Thankful to be recognized as a “Thought Leader” alongside remarkable changemakers, politicians, and actors like Dr. Bernice King(the Martin Luther King Jr. dynasty), Naomi Campbell, Anthony Scaramucci, Jameela Jamil and many others.

While I was writing this poem, it was crucial to reflect on existing inequalities universally & speak up for social justice. Radical change is needed more than ever. Thanks to the phenomenal @sholamos1 for applauding my piece & uplifting the voices of diverse women around the world 👏

What if rejection’s just redirection for what fits?✨

Storytelling comes in many forms, and it will always be needed. It’s not a monolith. As Seth Godin says, “We’re not going to outgrow our need for information.”

But beyond information, stories give us space to discern, to question the “why,” understand the history behind what we witness, and make sense of our environment. They help us learn, navigate disruption and change, offer hope, and break down stereotypes in a polarized world. They also remind us of our connectedness — the shared experiences that show we’re not moving through life alone.

When we listen to people doing meaningful work, we create a communal experience. We strengthen the place we’re building together.

As we near the new year, I think about the difference between “the why” and “the why not.” Too often we question ourselves, wondering if we’re enough or if we belong. But “the why not” reminds us that we can, that our goals, our progress, and our potential are all within reach. We’re here for a reason, and despite challenges, there’s always a guiding light urging us forward. We make this space meaningful simply by being part of it 🎊
