The other day I visited my old neighborhood and walked along the same path I went through almost everyday 4 years ago. I sat and reflected on how alone I felt on this path at 14 and 15.

While I sat on a ledge I used to love, I wrote.
“I have Started this entry 3 times now, I want it to be perfect.
Writing about this place feels like rewriting my Past.

I’m currently sitting on the same ledge I walked to nearly everyday 4 Summers ago. The water that used to be under the ledge is dried, just like my memories.

I visited the big rock I loved. The spray paint that was once on it is hidden by new moss formation.

The trees currently surrounding me are no longer my only company. The trees are covered in new growth, and so am l.

I have Places to be today, and l can’t aimlessly walk through the woods until sunset like l used to.

I talked to people today, unlike the countless days I
spent silent when I lived here.

The town that killd me so many years ago is now just a distant memory of my Past.

I have a purpose now. l am surrounded by love, and am forever grateful I left this Place.” by @tositinthearchive

Photo I took of myself when I was 15. Trying my hardest not to indulge in feeling nostalgic about a time filled with so much hardship and struggle but it’s hard recently. Life is weird.

On a positive note, currently 1 year 2 months 25 days 16 hours and 9 minutes sober as I write this. Looking forward to adding more days and hopefully slowly forgetting about the time I’m heavily looking back at the moment. by @tositinthearchive
