The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

My beautiful first born Robyne arrived 36 years ago born at 7.55am and my heart burst with love instantly.

People always ask me why I’m generally so happy. ❤️
I learned it from this fine lady.
My beautiful mum.

Civility costs nothing.
A smile costs nothing.

You don’t have to be selfish with your smiles, your kindness or your time .

They’re gifts, so give them freely within reason.

I learned very early never to forget to give.

Why?

Because it’s far better to give more than you receive… and somehow, it always comes back to you in abundance. ❤️

Apparently I don’t just watch the show… I join it 😂🎶

I absolutely loved the warm welcome I got during this interview it’s still one of my favourites. ❤️

The show was Shang-a-Lang, which producer Derek Douglas described as “the Edinburgh show for Edinburgh people.”

Big families, big personalities and the good old days when being cheeky was fine… until someone quickly put you back in your place! 😂

How did we survive?

And who remembers the Bay City Rollers? 🎶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

What I loved most was this young cast bringing another generation to life.

I think they were only around 16-18 here, playing all sorts of characters, and they were brilliant.

I’ve always loved drama , film and people’s stories.

Every generation is different, and there’s so much to learn when you’re genuinely interested in how people lived, laughed and thought before us. ❤️
