My new song “Easy” is out today!!! off my forthcoming album 𝓐𝓷𝓭 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓥𝓸𝓲𝓬𝓮 𝓢𝓪𝓲𝓭  out Feb 27. This song is an homage to overcoming self-loathing—and for anyone who has felt they need to make themselves smaller or struggled with feeling like they’re too much. And we made a music video inspired by the king of self-loathing, Franz Kafka. It’s maybe the simplest (and screamiest) Tōth song I’ve ever released and it almost didn’t make the record. But @itsunclecarol was like “are you kidding me this HAS to be on the album!” When I was recording this in my apartment and screaming “I’m easy” at the top of my lungs my neighbor knocked on the door to make sure I was ok. The video was quite a wild and large effort. Originally my friend (and amazing actress) Taylor Schilling was going to play the bug but she got super sick so last minute I ended up playing both parts. A huge thanks to everyone involved and to @lightningsociety for letting us film there. Today is my birthday and I decided to release a surprise album of 111 birthday songs 🎉🎂🎵 It’s called: 111 Birthday Songs. They’re little inventions ranging from 3 seconds to 3 minutes that I’ve written for friends, family and loved ones over the last 10 years. There was closer to 200 but I narrowed it down a bit to songs that i mostly ‘properly’ recorded. I had never written one for myself until now and it was the hardest one to write (I made two in the process of trying)! The album sequence is mostly alphabetical except for the first handful. Scan down the list and find yourself or find your first name if it’s in there. This is a really unhinged album and I love it a lot. I hope it brings you some joy! Available now on @bandcamp, @spotify, @applemusic and everywhere else you find your music. Special thanks to hero @christopherswane for manually registering 111 songs and also to my co-manager @frisbeejackson for making this possible by covering so much ground I’d never be able to cover. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND MUCH LOVE EVERYONE 🎈🥳💖 PS. If your wanting to maybe get me a birthday present, the number one thing you could do is buy a ticket to one of the shows on my fall tour and to tell all your friends about it and to bring all your friends and to have all your friends bring all their friends, and so on and so forth. 9/30 - Boston, MA @mideastclub

Playing John Lennon in original “opera” about Yoko Ono’s life by @eucademix was a dream I didn’t even know I had. So beautiful to meet and work with so many incredible musicians/artists/humans that I’d never met before and some whom i had. Also it was psychedelic and nerve-wracking playing one of my heroes. I couldn’t really find examples of John performing without guitar or piano (plz send me youtubes if you know of any) but I did notice that he always chewed gum when he performed. Glad I get a second chance on Friday to do it again at Walker Arts Center in Minneapolis. 💖✨💖 taken in Los Angeles, California by @tothtunes
