Just as shocked as you are.What I thought was a long-awaited girls’ trip turned out to be a 13-month masterclass in deceit- aka a surprise proposal Joonie had been plotting all along.The Elaborate Scheme:Joonie supposedly had a last-minute “work trip” to El Salvador. (Spoiler: it was fake. And where on earth was El Salvador anyway??) He even downloaded random photos from Google and posted them to his Instagram Stories to make his ‘scheme’ more believable 🤔On my end, Cherie and Bel were supposed to leave Vietnam after 5 days, while Charissa planned to stay an extra week in Dalat with me. I did think it was suspicious for Charissa-someone who has never been to Vietnam- to commit to 12 full days with me, but I shrugged it off as her wanting to spend more time with me. Meanwhile, Joonie was secretly flying from LAX to Ho Chi Minh while I was busy living my shopaholic tour guide fantasy with the girls 💃🏻✨There’s so much more to this saga. Let’s just say, I put my friends through hell 😅 They deserve Oscars for being great actresses and for managing my paranoia and badgering. But honestly, I’m so thankful for these group of sisters who have seen my worst moments and somehow still showed up for my best 🤍Huge shoutout to @thientongphotography for travelling all the way to Nha Trang and capturing the proposal so beautifully- I’ll see you guys at the wedding! 😉And finally, to the man who somehow manages to pull off these ridiculous stunts and has always made it his mission to fulfill every little thing my heart desires, just to make me happy- I’m endlessly grateful for you. Every year whenever I’m in Vietnam I’d try different hair salons and this was by far the most affordable and efficient hair salon I visited! Quite loving the change of pace in Da Nang city. Having a refreshing fruit tea surrounded by greenery while watching koi fishes swimming around probably lowered my cortisol significantly lol. When your husband knows your taste in hotels and absolutely delivers 😌🤍Out of all the hotels I’ve stayed at in Da Nang, this one has easily been my favourite.Located just steps away from My Khe Beach, it has everything I look for in a hotel- spacious, modern, plenty of natural light, stunning sea views, and an infinity pool on the 28th floor.The location was also perfect! Surrounded by beach clubs, cafés, restaurants, convenience stores, and shops, so everything we needed was within walking distance. If you plan to elevate your shopping experience in Vietnam, may I suggest visiting Rue Miche L’Édition at Union Square? ✨Home to over 30 curated Vietnamese fashion, lifestyle and accessory brands, the space feels more like an art exhibition than a retail store. I loved how every corner was thoughtfully designed, and I found myself constantly stopping to admire the details 😍Before I knew it, I had spent a few hours there just exploring everything the space had to offer.The staff were also incredibly kind and helpful, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. Wasn’t sure what I was expecting when I ordered a matcha at this cafe in Da Nang, Vietnam 😂 But definitely wasn’t complaining! We came early in the morning so there wasn’t any live DJs but you can check their socials out at @daungotcaphe to be notified of the live music schedule! (I personally loved RnB, chill house music so it was such a pity that I wasn’t able to be there to enjoy it during their live music time🥲)It was truly an interesting experience and if anyone was wondering it took me about 3 hours to finish 3/4 of the matcha before we asked for to-go cups 😗✌🏻#danang #danangcity #vietnamtravel #vietnamtrip #thingstodoinvietnam by @touche_18

Here’s a little room tour of what it’s like staying in Landmark 81, the second-tallest building in Southeast Asia 🏙️✨Located in Ho Chi Minh City, this iconic skyscraper offers some seriously stunning views of the city.
