Had to come off my IG Hiatus to commemorate The Cities VOTY(Voice of the Youth) -
Really can’t even believe this 😔

CONT…“I hope your killer doesn’t find sleep, an ounce of peace and suffers for every heart that has to weep. We all believed in what you stood for, your character and furthermore; your voice! Who would’ve thought, LGP Qua, one of the realest voices in music with rhythm and rhyme coming from a spirit benign, transcending space and time; would have to go this early!?
A voice taken behind the very action of his own activism. Never in a MILLION years, did I imagine the city shedding a million tears before it was your time; what a voice to take…this all just feels like a big mistake, hearts weren’t meant to ache or break like this for you! A voice that shook negativity, challenging the status quo in our communities through and through; it was a voice of unity, resilience and power, something to respect…Your voice was invoking, provoking the positive proclivities for success! A voice that spoke to the struggles we face, empathizing how we felt. You were a leader in influence for a generation! High vibrations within relevant conversations in many rooms. Voice of a Philly Native, where we all loved it, it was inevitable that someone had to hate it! You weren’t just any voice, you were THE voice! That never trembled, quivered, stumbled or shook, but the moment the city discovered it was you this time they took; the greatest shock! What a way to rock a solid foundation; sending a wave of distraught, reverberating through communities, unsettled on heavy hearts. The angels rejoiced in heaven as the gates swung wide open, we were only hoping this day would wait until nations could witness a GOAT so great! A light so bright, shining through the violence of these dark Philly nights, violence you used the weapon of your voice to combat & fight! This all feels so surreal, so wrong that it will never sit right! Your positivity couldn’t be any louder, but somehow it couldn’t silence the mind of your killer, who un-alived an invaluable figure with one of the brightest futures...

This past weekend and the weekend before last, celebrating my 35th, owes me absolutely NOTHING!
I’ve accepted not experiencing the vibes with the same family & friends every year but one thing I can consistently count on, are the good times & positivity that I create and how that alone brings & keeps the right kind of people around!
I cherish all of my memories and moments like these that are often taken for granted!

Over a decade ago I lost my mother to a Virus I’m absolutely informed of today, HIV/AIDS! She was 35, I was 13 and I didn’t know anything. I had to become an advanced student whose mother taught him how to bathe her, change her and look out for my younger siblings. I was doing okay up until the day my teacher left me! I awoke to see her lifeless corpse, it was in that moment I knew that my worst fear laid before me! Today I have no fear, but courage to raise awareness for this cause, to continue the fight on behalf of my Queen.
There are thousands who live with this virus and advocates to ensure that we #stopthespread . I stand with you‼️#rocktheribbon
