I ask my client to have a full inch of length on the sides where I’ll blend the toupee with their hair. This usually takes 2 months and for people who shave their head or keep a high fade, the grow out can be SOOO hard for them but it’s always worth it after the application! taken in San Diego, California by @toupeequeen

I came up with and started using this Clear Tape method over 5 years ago and I’m just as obsessed with it now as I’ve ever been. I love using my clients head as a template for cutting their toupee.
FYI - This has only ever worked for me using Clear Tape. Anything else was too strong for thin skin poly.

Temporary applications before glue applications make it so the client can see what their hairline will look like and also help them decide what style will feel most like them.

This part is essential for me since we can’t do much customizing after the glue application is done because the glue needs to stay dry for 24 hrs
