edr129 is an electronic music duo but also a love story.
Elif Gülin Soğuksu @elifsoguksu and Luca Kasper @toutkaputt met at last year’s NOPA Festival in Yerevan. What followed was a long-distance romance built around music: months of exchanging tracks, sharing influences and sending each other compositions as their feelings grew.
That’s how edr129 appeared. Emo Digital Romance. An electronic music duo, the title of their own subgenre and forthcoming album.

This year, the duo returns to Yerevan to share a preview of their upcoming album and the music that brought them together.

Join edr129 for an intimate listening session.
Admission is free but consider donations. Please, follow sec_space rules and be an excellent visitor.

𝑎𝑚𝑏𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑡 / 𝑙𝑖𝑣𝑒

Luca Kasper is a sound artist and audiovisual experimenter. A creator for numerous contemporary theatre companies, he is also co-founder of the Brainwaves label and has worked as a producer on various projects.

His current project is called Tout Casser and uses music to recount the interdimensional exploration of a fantastical character. Half-reptile, half-blob, Tout Casser is a dripping creature with a jagged past. Radiating a great gentleness drawn from the teachings of his home planet, he is nevertheless regularly subject to a rare form of arrhythmia. He then contorts himself frantically and seeps into his surroundings, shattering bark and tarmac as he contracts. In a daily struggle with his repulsive nature, the monster expels stunted rhythms and dangerously unstable waves.

His new creation, “Spin Foam”, will be out in a couple of days. This 4-track tape, conceived as a mini-album, depicts various soundscapes that we are eager to discover this Saturday!
