As anatomical studies, as metaphors, invasive ghosts, companions and characters, horses keep haunting my drawings.
They come to me again, but now I find it’s the toy or play horse that keeps returning, and I let it. This horse sits at my place by the kitchen table and walks on my forest paths in a way the previous horses have never done. The play horse looks back at me as it goes into the woods, tired of a life of putting on a show and playing pretend. What would it be like to not have to strive towards another version of yourself, or to not feel stuck between reality and ideals? It’s an other-horse, a not-horse. Never really being quite what imagination hopes to puppeteer it into.
I draw more. I want the not-horse to roam the woods as its own beast. To stand in the meadows, sit at the table, have agency and rest. A complete creature in its own right. by @toveottosson

Come to Konstfack's Christmas fair this weekend 29-30/11!! I will have prints and these christmas tree ornaments (which are hand sculpted and hand painted because i always work hard and never smart) for sale and there's over 200 vendors selling different arts, crafts and designs ✨️🎄

and please enjoy this very clunky reel with my eerie puppet master-shadow looming over it 😂

Fantasiskogen

in a strange place where i feel both a new clarity of how i want things done, and the same old disappointment in not being a stronger artist, and in how much time i've spent being a not very strong artist ✌️😔 at the same time I suspect having a far from optimal mental health has really held development back, so i suppose sometimes things just are what they are. by @toveottosson

the instagram cropping is fighting me so for now, or forever, I'm just posting snippets of every page. Maybe it's for the best anyway for I have started to doubt it. I now hope to nap for 4 hours.

theres things I want to go over again with this one. I really enjoy using a light tablet and correcting things tradiotionally instead of digitally. However this was due last friday so it had to do like this. Colored pencil for lineart, digital art for coloring.

this was also made for an assignment where we were really just supposed to get familiar with premiere and experimenting with video montage. I made this dmall stop motion animation in, again, a very short time with a plushie and some plastic flowers i had at home. But I like how it came out, surprisingly personal, a lot and it would be fun to do something like this with dolls or plushies of my own making.
