🚘Think speeding only saves a few seconds? The reality is it can dramatically change the outcome of a crash. This summer, Okotoks Municipal Enforcement team and the Okotoks RCMP are working together on an enforcement initiative that focuses on high-risk driving behaviours like speeding, distracted driving and other unsafe choices behind the wheel.Take a look at this graphic 👇At 30 km/h, 9 out of 10 pedestrians survive a collision. At 50 km/h, that drops to just 2 out of 10. July 28th is World Nature Conservation Day, and we're excited to celebrate with you this Nature Friday!What do you love most about the environment? Well, if you're not sure, you're about to discover it. At 1pm, we'll be going on a small hike around the river to look for wildlife, including animals, insects, plants, and the surrounding ecosystem. We'll also craft signs with our favourite parts of the environment and put them on display for all to see!
