Photographs from my Umrah last year - 26/04/2024 - 10/05/2024

🕌 Madinah al-Munawara or simply known as Madinah holds a significant position in my heart. Masjid al-Nabwi, Masjid al-Qiblatain, Masjid al-Quba - the city just brings peace. The city of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) - the mosque which he built himself, where he prayed and where he is buried.

How privileged am I to get to pray in the mosque of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)? How privileged am I to be in His city for almost a week and never regret that?

How grateful can I be to Allah (SWT) who granted me, my mom and nani to be here? To pray at these holy mosques, to do so many good deeds, make Duas and just be there?

I definitely feel alone while being in the male section of the mosques. I have always gone with my grandfather, and now without him, I feel alone - suffocated. But I’m praying for him.

There’s nothing better than being closer to Allah, being closer to my deen, being closer to Islam - it always brings me peace.

Photographs from my Umrah last year - 26/04/2024 - 10/05/2024.

🕋 Umrah - a set of rituals of worshiping Allah (SWT) by entering the state of Ihram, performing circumambulation of the Kaa'ba, performing Sa’i between the hills of Safa and Marwa and having one’s head shaven.

It’s just more than this Googled definition - it’s the feeling, the peace, the joy, the emotional connection that this duniya can ever match, Subhanallah. The relief of getting your sins forgiven and your heart being purified by Allah (SWT) just cannot be compared to anything.

The weight my heart and mind carried just disappear within me as soon as I laid my eyes on Kaa'ba. - how grateful can I be to Allah (SWT)? How grateful can I be knowing that the money can never bring one here and one's only here if Allah wills it and has invited him/her. Just how?

Approximately 50 KMs away from my house, is our "Spot." Discovered by my brothers, @yagyabisani and @sheesbandookwala. A spot for us to spend time with ourselves when life throws rocks and hardships towards us or something extremely awesome took place in one's life.

The pictures in this post are from 15th February 2025. A day all four of us will forever remember, for sure ;)
