More Japan purchases as I unpack. More to go. Videos of the trip will take awhile to edit and will probably be around November.

Recent Japan Pick Ups! Japan has been a tough place these past few years to pick up anything. But thanks to a few contacts and being at the right place & time in Tokyo....some things can manifest! Dead Mint unused store stock that turned up from a store that recently closed..

Most of the group has already found a new home.

Many other competitors were involved. After we were told we won, a hour later or so another person approached to make a offer. It's vicious out there.

A few of the recent pick ups in Tokyo. Bubble opened on Cyborg but very very fair price. Sealed R2-D2's Wind Up... Masters of the Universe Buttons, Battle Beasts Orange Gorilla....etc.

The trip was much better than previous trips in the 2020's. I have all the videos to work on when I return. It's going to be a lot of editing..

Recent Japan Pick Ups! Japan has been a tough place these past few years to pick up anything. But thanks to a few contacts and being at the right place & time in Tokyo....some things can manifest! Dead Mint unused store stock that turned up from a store that recently closed... They have been sitting with the yellow drill & others all waiting for new owners.

Original hand drawn & colored Darkwing Duck artwork & pantones. This piece comes from the original studio that sculpted all the darkling duck action figures. The piece was most likely from Disney or another studio to assist in the paint decoration of the Prototype action figures.

Usually this would be a photocopy of an animation cell with the pantones attached. But I was very surprised to find this to be a hand done piece on a huge almost 16 in wide paper.

I actually had gone to the studio multiple times and thought I had cleaned it out really well until I found a couple poster tubes tucked in a corner. This and other artwork was inside including other characters from Darkwing Duck.

I still look at it with surprise

Monster in my Pocket Big Boy store display. This is the original hanging display from the restaurant. This would have been hanging from when he first walked in back in 1992

To be honest, I didn't even know I owned it. Currently going through a lot of stuff packed in the back with storage. I was pleasantly surprised

Mattel Barnyard Commandos Ram Tank Painting. This is an original art for the ram tank. I suspect this to be a color study or a presentation piece. It is very close to the final box art. Most likely this was the representation by the artist of saying this is what we're going to go with position wise and color wise, and then Mattel would say yes. And then the actual final art would be developed with slight differences

Original LJN Rough Riders Thundertank from Thundercats. This is the original battery operated Rough Riders Thundertank that was never produced.

Ljn had the license for ThunderCats as well as the IP for Rough Riders which was competition with Stompers. It was only natural to use one of your best selling toy lines and cross it with one of the best franchises of 1985.

Ljn was going to release the fender tank, feliner, and the mutant fist pounder! All three were designed, sculpted, and even got the final production samples before they were canceled!

That being said, they are incredibly rare to find. They have completely unique chassis as well.

Still looking for the feliner to this day!

Original Kenner Aliens Queen Hive Playset "Hatchling" wax sculpt. This is the hand sculpted little critter in wax. The first hatchling to be born, and used to create more to infest the world.

Part of the greatest Alien toy produced by Kenner, the playset featured a small hatchling that can pop out of the egg chamber.

The rest of the original playset & queen sculpts exist and will be posted in a future time.

1986 Kenner Chuck Norris Tabe Prototype Action Figure. This is an original internal action figure for the character. Tabe. This is a more of a proof of concept / pitch piece to acquire the license. There's also possible just a very early sample to show direction that they wanted to go after they acquired the license. I do not know

The figure is completely different than the character that showed up on the show. Is probably early enough that it is representation of the character Tabe at that point in time.

The figure actually has a internal spring mechanism. All the joints are held down by springs and it can allow the figure to well, slap you back or kick you back.

Everything is handmade from. It's pouring in the resin molds to being hand assembled and then hand-painted.

Included is the original tag from the Kenner Morgue!

Original 1992 G2 Transformers Autoroller Dirt bag Prototype. This is the original prototype sample with the blue plastic versus the production gray. This is a memorable prototype variant because all the advertising and the original artwork for the auto rollers showed them in the green & blue. They were never produced with the blue and only the gray which was a poor choice.

Prototype wise G2 samples have appeared over the years in various incarnations. This sample though to my knowledge is the only one out there, granted there should be more. But it's extremely difficult to find in comparison to other sample prototypes like the ATB Megatron.
