I can’t even describe the amount of pain and emptiness I feel in my life right now. Most people grow apart as they get older but I had the privilege to remain close with Dakota for over 7 years. Of course it’s hard right now but it will continue to be on my nights after work, calls when I have to tell him something and every moment between. We shared a healthy, close, platonic love and friendship and I am so blessed to have had that at all in my life. If only our chapter didn’t end so early. We always talked about living together after high school and small things about our lives in the future. Although I knew where he was at mentally, I always hoped for those small moments in the future. There will not be a moment of any day that he will not be in my heart and mind.
