Busy June, but a good kind of busy. 🔵🟡

I'm getting the chance to share some of what I've learned about Special Education and AI compliance at three conferences this month, and just as much, a chance to learn from other educators doing this work in their own districts.

It's not really about being "out and about"; it's the swap. I bring something to the table, I leave with more than I came with, and that makes me better at what I do.

If you're at any of these, come find me.

Back to school vibes are strong! 😎 Had a blast at the ESE Department’s Welcome Back meeting today. So much good energy and great plans for the year ahead, especially with our Non-Public and Charter team’s theme: ‘It’s Complicated: Moving from difficult to dynamic.’ We even got a sneak peek into the future of AI in education from a professor at UF—super cool!
A huge shoutout to our keynote speaker, @ryanleak , for a phenomenal speech on ‘Working with Complicated People.’ So inspiring!

My heart is just bursting with pride today! ❤️ My amazing daughter, Michala Magee, absolutely shined during her first sermon. Her message on “Trusting God Through Anxiety” was so incredibly powerful and relatable, especially as she bravely opened up and shared her own story. You could feel her connect deeply with everyone – truly a blessing to see her walk in this calling.

What an incredible time at the Instructional Empowerment conference! So proud to have presented AI as a Super Power for Educators (we even did an encore on Thursday after a packed house Wednesday!) and Closing the achievement gap for students with disabilities.
It was truly a fantastic opportunity to sharpen our skills as educators. Huge thanks to my amazing team for all your support – couldn’t have done it without you! And, for a little magic: swipe to see the cute brown rabbit I spotted on a morning walk, and the beautiful Disney’s Coronado Springs Hotel lit up at night during an evening stroll. ✨
