The sand warrior is moving along. Hopefully nobody that voted is too disappointed 😅

It's not uncommon that a final concept takes design elements from several of the previous iterations. That's definitely the case with this one.

Been busy lately, but couldn't pass up the opportunity to participate in this! Excited that @lady.chamomile has been flourishing lately. 🧡

My first attempt was with some new watercolor brushes, but I decided to experimentally add some more lighting later and really enjoyed the result. I'm always pushed by challenges so thanks for the opportunity!

This is likely my final post for 2022. I'm really proud of this piece! It embodies a lot of what I'm aiming for currently as an artist - Bold colors, chunkier structure, a slice of real life, but a definite increase in magic and imagination.

Been feeling the need to do a little fanart lately to preserve my spark. Who better to draw than one of my very favorite characters?

When Kara gets a break from reconstructing the academy, she still spends time high up in the scaffolding.
The incredible heights offer freedom and peace she can't normally get.

How do you find peace and recharge?

The Master Cartographer, Felipe -
Growing up I had actually considered becoming a map maker (cartographer). I don't think the job exists in the same way it did in my mind back then, but Felipe brings together some of the fantasy I imagined as a kid. Do you have any childhood dreams that turned out very different in reality?

@cearleyclint hosted a challenge inviting artists to design characters with specific roles. This was my submission. I hope that you enjoy!
